was it done on a computer or on paper?

Drawn entirely on computer, yea her neck is a little long but the character is supposed to have quite a long neck.

Man, you know you're doing good when you draw something like that and my brain says "good drawing!" before it says "furry!"

... but I jest. I need to get a drawing tablet something fierce. It'd probably clean up my work to a ridiculous degree.

Also, I should have figured you'd be really good at drawing, considering how good your pixel art is. The two usually go hand-in-hand.

Not really... I pixeling skills are considered quite good but I'm terrible when it comes to drawing. (I need a tablet ASAP)
If I ever pixel something big I'll post it.

Also that drawing of yours is really nice Darlos.

Indeed. I see allot of people who are good at pixel art, but shite at drawing on paper. If your good at normal drawing your good at pixel art, but not vice versa I think.

This is probably a more accurate observation.

Actually: I found I was good at drawing after I became good at spriting.

I should put up some of my other drawings, they're mainly well drawn robots in crappy, plain poses.

Some of them were actually inspirations for mods.

My drawing started becoming halfway decent when I started adding wrinkles to hands and fingers.

But beyond that, it's stick-men, isometric, and abstract concepts. I really need to learn to draw a straight line.

I've been drawing since I was in primary school, always been the artistic one out of my friends, I don't think anything beats practice.

Prom said to me that the trick is to practice until you are only thinking about what you are drawing and not how you draw it, or something to that effect. I thought that was pretty good advice.

Same here, I just don't have time to practice. What tablet and drawing program do you use?

Sure is, thanks for sharing.

Same here, I always remember being surrounded by people spitting on the paper as they talked while pointing to bits with their grubby fingers saying "You should draw a massive soldier there!"

I loved the attention really though.

I can draw pretty well. My only problem is that, as a friend put it "you could be a really good artist if you put some more effort into it."

Just that I'm still not sure how you define effort when talking about drawing something.

Post Re: Art Dump
I really started drawing when I was in primary school, I was into manga/anime and saw a how to draw manga book in a bookshop (I love bookshops, but I don't really read much), of course I started practising and just got better.

I don't know how many times people have asked me "do you take art?" and I have to shamefully reply "no" whilst they reply "you should have done you're really good"... It all got messed up last year because we had a crappy teacher that I couldn't be bothered to do any work for because he just completely demotivated the whole class whilst actually telling people no effort was put into their work and saying that it was bad etc. At the end I got a D which I think is quite high considering the amount of work which I did (I obviously only got the marks through quality). And that's my story about how some teachers are demotivating twats that should never have been allowed to teach in the first place.

Ever since then I've had an omen about me which just makes me think all my work is crap.

Well, I only really sketch things, when I try to color things, they look horrible. Almost all of my art work is done on paper, I've never used a tablet to draw.

But, I'd like to have a tablet that has a monitor behind it so I can see where it is on the screen, but I know things like that are really expensive.
