Weak derbies in B22
The derbies in B22 is really weak. Its annoying as a crashed drop ship doesn't block a base entrance, since it can just be shot away with the weakest guns.
Why did data do this to B22? And.. Is there any way i can fix this myself?

Less map clutter, it's handy more than anything, I've gotten past my blocking days. The AI don't know so dont complain. Block it and leave it then the AI will (unless they have a digger) dance about.

You can use the replace feature and replace "IsScrap = 1" with "IsScrap = 0 // 1" in materials.ini in base.rte to get rid of that. Make a backup of the materials.ini file first though.Exalion wrote: Yeah, right now all gibs have IsScrap = 1 turned on no matter what you do. Lame.

Re: Weak derbies in B22
Yes, good sir, the races in Cortex Command are entirely unsatisfactory. Why, I found that I could neither look at the lineage of the unit I chose to bet on, nor its jockey's previous winnings! It is a most crass and common affair.
I believe you mean debris. And yeah, it's the IsScrap thing. It was changed because believe it or not, people found that highly annoying. The method in the previous post might help you. Also, it might make the grass behave weird. Don't blame me, or Azukki though.
...is it wrong that I now have a burning desire to have a dreadnaught racing map with tophatted dummy spectators?

Well now I want one And I think a new terrain break algorithm whats-it was part of the giant to-do list that had a topic a while back.

Derbies.
Dur-beez.
Debris.
Duh-bree. Or deh-bree, if you're British.
Anyways, it's the scrap system. It's significantly better than what we had before, though I don't like how it affects bullets vs ground.

Re: Weak debris in B22
mmn, its not perfect, but its better than floating pieces of wreckage. also, grif, i say dehbree and arent british. a dreadnaught race map would be 400 cool if the dreadnoughts had rockets on their feet and various weapons they could use with balanced reloads.

Heh, and I thought everyone was talking about some sort of racing thing. Thanks for that clarification, Grif. Also, the way it affects Grass it's kinda cool/weird. Double Also, here's what happens when I make ground Debris.

Re: Weak derbies in B22
Um, so it's hardcoded? If not is there any way to change it?
