Re: Lord Tim's "IRC Scene"
Mind blown.
A game that formerly had no network play has a sort of "massively singleplayer" mode, even if it's limited in scale.
Very creative use of Lua libraries!

I say we get somone to start a map and make a base for each side ( two player mode) and then have two people on IRc controlling the sides via lua and the person "Hosting" it would give updates of what happened, it would be like real war This would be a good start for anything, I'd imagine, and could also be extremely fun/frustrating. Frustrating in the sense that you get to watch your troops walk over each other, and then your dropship come down and incinerate the survivors. I wouldn't care how much lag there is though. If it means playing with people over the internet, it's worth it.

Re: Lord Tim's "IRC Scene"
Conversion isn't hard, as LuaSocket is in portable, open source C, and can be easily compiled for the mac. Just compile the source for the .so(*nix version)/.dll into a .dylib using whatever compiler macs have. The major problem is getting CC to load it.

Re: Lord Tim's "IRC Scene"
For some reason, when I try loading it from the campaigns screen, it doesn't work (the game freezes on a black screen). What's wrong? I extracted it properly. The background music still plays, btw.
EDIT: Somehow I fixed it. Thanks anyways.
