Favorite turn based game!
whats yours? my personal favorite is Sword of The Stars http://sots.rorschach.net/(wiki) http://www.swordofthestars.com/ (official site) turn based gameplay real time combat it has an excellent plot, well thought out and unique races, randomized tech tree, excellent original weapons, intense rts combat and some of the most diverse gameplay i have seen. its fun and i have personally spent hours upon hours playing it. so post yours with links and some pics.(game play preferrably) please no posts saying "THAT GAME IS GAY LOLOLOLOL"

Re: Favorite turn based game!
Magic: The Gathering?
Civilization series?
Risk?
Axis and Allies?
Galactic Civilization 2?
Chess?
It sure is hard to choose, considering that it's my favorite genre out of pretty much every entertainment medium in existence. And honestly, each and every one of the above has been my favorite at some point in time, so take your pick. They've all aged well, in my opinion.

Re: Favorite turn based game!
Fallout 1 & 2. E:And I just noticed the above post. Go me. Name; Fallout: A Post Nuclear Adventure Description; A Post Nuclear Adventure. Gameplay Features; Turn based combat (durr) featuring Action Points. You use the points when you move, shoot, drink, or take drugs. Violent death animations. Combat area is comprised of some nice hexagons. God I suck at this. Pics; From Fallout 2, a fallen Vertibird. Fallout 1, skill screen. Fallout 1, some dumb start city I forgot the name of. Could be the Hub. Or something. Aaaand no link game was released in '97.

Oh, I have all those skipped. It's taking out the pope and all the cardinals, leaving me as ruler of the church with only my priests in power, because the other territories only have low level priests still alive that's awesome.
