Re: Cleverbot - Are you a robot? Either this thing connects multiple users together to form conversations, or it's really good at pretending to be someone talking to a chatbot. Certain things that it says, the way it spells some things, and a few conventions of grammar make it seem like another person, but I may be wrong.
It's mighty fun, either way. EDIT: After some experimentation I can safely say that this is most likely other people. I've had stupid n00bs, people asking me the answer to life, the universe, and everything, the typos and grammatical errors tell me a lot, and often they deny they're computers. Got me excited for a while, but it's probably a hoax. It connects you with other users, then after a few lines or so it switches you over to another user. I think. Then again, I could be wrong. The AI could be being influenced by hundreds of people around the world and that's why it has so many quirks. Maybe. |

Re: Cleverbot - Are you a robot? this is a complex system that says common answers to what you said, such as hi, it would respond hi but sometimes it says no because other people must've said no after it said hi
so a more common response became no untill more people started to say hi after it said hi. |

Re: Cleverbot - Are you a robot? i think this thing is broke, i tried talking to it. it sat there not replying for like half an hour. i refreshed the page a couple times, and all i got it to say was "uugh... what?" in response to "WAKE UP!"
frustrating. although it could be my connection. bloody NZ telecom is useless. |
