not to take over his mod...
HE made the main bulk of the mod...
I made some small changes(added another weapon and tinkled with some of the other thinks...)...
the mod is still his as far as i am concerned.
besides i suck at spriting...

Okay so vagyr made a duplicate pulse rifle with auto fire, and made some changes here and there to make it more true to the tau, and He sent it to me in a PM.

I then did the minor balance fixes (correct number of rounds per clip, rail gun can kill doors, railgun doesnt eat the map, ranges corrected.)

So grenade made the mod,
vagyr updated it and added a Auto-fire pulse rifle, and a fusion blaster (looks like the ugly sprite I uploaded, not sure)
and I just balanced it.

I messed up.

When I tried fixing the rail-gun, so that it wouldn't cut the map appart, I took what I thought was the bullet, Doubled the particle count, and halved the mass. Mass 16 became mass 8, 5 particles became 10.

Then it became 4 and 20, and then I realized I was changing the glow. I went to the magazine, looked at the ammo, found it, it was an emiter, followed it, edited THAT object... More glow....

Did grenade use the shell as a bullet? that file makes no sence, so the file I uploaded, the rail rifle is just brighter than normal, and does mostly the same thing. I can't figure out which object and where, is the actual bullet. Also The fusion blaster is nice, but not against doors, and the offsets are a bit off because the fusion blaster is just fugly. the weapon in 40K is fugly, you can't make one look nice except on an XV22.

so here is the change log...

:D 2 variations of the pulse rifle 1 auto fire and 1 single fire .

:D 1 fully functioning realistic fusion cutter.

:D changed the range/power/price of the weapons to make them more
balanced/to be more realistic(like the dawn of war characteristics and more cc friendly).

:D the AUTO PULSE RIFLE has a shorter range and less power than the 1SHOT PULSE RIFLE in favor of balancing

:D changed the price of the fire warrior .

changed the name of the faction from ander sensor corps to fire warriors tean.

:D added a more detailed description for the weapons and for the fire warrior(for the weapons a short history of the weapon and say how far it shoots)(for the fire warrior a short history).

:???: removed the pulse revolver.


(comments)
the verion i have uploaded has some further changes(lower price for the fire warrior changed the range of the auto pulse rifle)
you can choose any version you want...
form Miles_T3hR4t or from grenade or from me(vagyr)...
it is the same for me...
besides i made this for fun so yeah...
actualy the 2 versions are pretty much the same...
just some more refined files/units/weapons on my version...
the fusion cutter is a small mess...
the code i used made it reeealy effective vs actors and usless vs the ground or the doors...
which is a good think since it mades it ideal for base defence(rip appart the enemy leave the bunker almost intact)...

Delete the fudge fusion cutter . Fire warriors dont use them . And you made it crap . I dont like it . Other is good enough to stay .

I'v tested Miles'es and it's pretty awsome, all I would do is make the pulse rifle single shot beam a longer range and a smaller ammo clip to compensate and why have the firewarrior cost 400? Other wise it's really good Miles

Vagyr, the end pulse rifle beam doesn't do damage, the beam for the blaster is a a bit higher than the end of the gun barrel also did you remove the digging tool or whatever it's called because I couldn't find it. But the descriptions I liked a lot a the pricing is good

I think that you two need to take the good bits out of both mods, squish together and organise what comes out into something and it will be really good

there was no diggin tool in the mod...
not any than i remember of...
the fire warriors costs 150 not 400(an old remmand of the earlier mod than i gave to Miles_T3hR4t...
the beam of the pulse rifle is higher than the gun barrel???
that is surely strange...
i know than the beam of the fusion cutter is higher than the barrel of the fusion cutter becose i was too lazy to do the correct calibrations...
the auto pulse rifle has a shorter range/lower damage/you can not aim as far as the 1shot pulse rifle/the acuracy is lower in order to be more balanced and more realistic...
the fusion cutter has got a sprite found on some earlier page of the topic than i took to make it so i am only responcible for the coding part which i hope than is good...
i still found it pretty cool looking AND realy usefull...
i realy hope than a stealth suit will come in to play so as i can justify the existance of the fusion cutter which i personaly plant to improve...
finaly the mustery sentance "Vagyr, the end pulse rifle beam doesn't do damage"
in real warhammer life or in cortex command???
i think than this can be explained if you take in account my horrible spriting skills+my lazynes
since i reduced the range of the projectiles but i did not reduced the beam lengh which should explain the strange fanomenom you described...
sooo...
i realy hope than this mod will start again and than grenade will let me help him with the coding/balancing part of the mod...

i realy hoped than you enjoied my version of this grate mod and than you had fun playing it!!!

I don't know why I didn't knowtice this before but the sound for the rapid fire gun (can't remember name off the top of my head) sounds like the guns the eldar use in DoW

the sound of the auto pulse rifle is simly the sound of 1 normal 1shot pulse rifle played over and over again...

i assure you than it goes all the way to the end of the non calibrated beam which i must put on the correct point which is on the barrel...

I didn't change any prices, I took the version vagyr sent me, edited some ranges, and did a minor tweak of the rail-rifle that didn't work right, and left it at that.

If you used the version I posted, you might want to change BOTH pulse rifle ammo's lifetimes to 120-140 so it can shoot past the muzle flash, change the price of the fire warrior, and change the Y offset of the muzzle on the fusion blaster.


Also to vagyr, your fusion blaster only works on terrain, it sometimes bounces off of actors. ESPECIALLY dummys and doors. give the ammo a lower gib impulse and fix the offsets also don't use my sprite.

Its not that I don't like you using it. My sprite is CRAP, use a better one. It's my sprite, i can say that.


Also Request for Grenade. Make a stealth suit, a fusion blaster sprite that doesn't suck, and a burst cannon. should be the same ammo as the carbine, only 3? times as fast (assault#? to assault 3 S5 AP5 to the same)

I seriously forgot which assault the carbine gets. I actually just have certain weapons memorized.

Idea: squads instead of individuals.

Why not, under "bodies" have a squad (fully outfitted and diverse) of firewarriors hit the ground instead of individuals? It could be something that hits the ground and gibs into five outfitted soldiers? that way they're more easily deployed, because having just one of these guys is kind of lame.

Is this possible?

I feel like this could add to a lot of other mods as well, but it could save this one.

i am still truing to make it good...
i can not sprite anything!!!
the only think i can do good is coding...

it is possible to be made but they whould be crushed by their teammates when they landed...
besites the tau dont have droppods...

We need to make the Tau Orca into a dropship. Just show it from the side, it has the engines for it. It even has 2 doors, one in the back, and the bottom drops out.

Orca rules, I gonna try to sprite it, but I cannot secure nothing before to try :wink:
Tomorrow I'll confirm, promised.

But the 2 drop doors can be confunsing at the time to code it...

the drop ship will have doors only on 1 site!!!
i vote for the side mounded doors...
if it has a door on the bottom and a door on the side it will be like reealy confusing...
if some1 makes a sprite it must contail 2 engines 1 main body 2 engine trails(to make it look realy cool and not to force the creator to take a sprite from somewhere else...)
