why is everyone so anti-macuser? im an os slut, so i dont identify with anyone, but there is cirtainly less wrong with mac than there is with windows.

Oh, it's just that some windows users think mac users are dumb for using what they think is an inferior operating system, and vice versa.
And the majority of people here are windows users because until recently CC wasn't for mac.

I think a lot of people get a little bit of a negative experience with an alternate operating system, because they never familiarized themselves with it, which would require regular personal use, so they just dislike the other OS's ways before giving it a chance.

I'm sure there are uses Mac is superior for, but I personally think that for me and many like me Windows is more suiting. Mainly for gaming. Even though my computer in particular isn't worth a damn for that anymore.

Anyone with only experience with one has no reference, anyone with insignificant experience with the other has faulty reference, anyone with considerable experience with both can form a real opinion, for how an OS meets their particular needs/wants.

There is no Mac/PC War here use what you want. But the reason I went Mac was because of system maintenance. I spent more time cleaning, defraging, repairing missing DLL's and re-installing the OS constantly in order to keep it running its best. This wasted time was why I switched. Also when you re-install an OS on Mac you can pick the drive it installs to and boot directly from there... no boot menu on some other drive needed. And while windows 7 is amazing and works great it still holds onto the past .... all of the above still has not been fixed. But Windows is much more powerful for gaming (Macs are Intel CPU Based now) so I sill have a partition for Windows 7 and XP. Since I have a free tool that lets me image my Bootcamp partition I can simply re-install that when I want a fresh copy of windows. I have the best of both worlds and since I rarely have issues with OS X I can fall back to it if I have issues with Windows.

I'm checking the front page, obsessively, every day hoping for a devlog update that says either B23 is released or is late because of a significant content update. As it stands it's taking two months for bugfixes and presets, and the only reason I'm looking forward to it is because I can't have a decent length skirmish/survival game without CC crashing.

From the voting list, he is ( blatantly ) prioritizing what to do first, so if he had to release now, we'd have our favorite -noun-.

I check the page around five times a day, myself. Which is ridiculous, I know. But I am anxious to get a new release, even if it's just a bunch of bugfixes, preset loadouts, and mission directive arrows.

I have the datarealms homepage on bookmarks, so I can check the devlog status as I am going to the forums. two extra clicks, but it's worth it when I see a new build has come out!

im acually pretty upset that Data would just leave us hanging like this. hes had ample time to just post whats going on. i mean comon i payed money for this so he should keep up with his community.

maybe im asking for too much - i dont know.

not really, it's not hard to upload a spritesheet and give it to irc.

You paid money for a license key, not the promise of punctual development progress.

And the rest of us paid money, too. Potentially more so.

Data is not good at updating the devlog. He never has been. Not worth obsessing over, and not worth complaining over.

it is an unfortunate fact though. ohwell, not like it really matters. we'll get it at some point. for those that are on it often, has he been in the irc at all?

Not datarealms irc, but he is still alive, at least.
