I like these ideas the best...
Mini-map/tactical view - see prom's sketches Make intro/dialog system wiuth lua bindings Jetpacks destroyable In-game pause menu In-game gif capture functionality Implement valuable gems lodged in terrain Fix music volume bugs Drop Ship engine effects improvement Custom wounds for particles (fire!) Crawling/climbing polish Buying sets functionality Add supply ship
If I had to choose three, they'd be...
Custom wounds for particles (fire!) Implement valuable gems lodged in terrain Crawling/climbing polish

That's the weird thing, the stuff on this list is not set out in levels of difficulty. Custom wounds sounds like it'd take tons of work, but valuable gems is what... some sprites, high-mass gold, and a new terraindebris? And making the screen flash when your brain is hit sounds like five minutes work, tops.

Quote: Custom wounds for particles (fire!) Reowrk HDFirearm emissions so they can support multiple types of emissions, and also multiple barrels Make TerrainObjects have areas placed into teh scene automatically
Multiple particles per Round
Make HDFirearm play whatever animation frames available when activated Most useful ones for modders, is rough order. Top three are holy ♥♥♥♥ yes, multiple particles is useful, animation is just prettier.

Re: To-do list NO THE VOTING DOES NOT WORK GET OVER IT CHRIST
There was one having to do with fixing some sort some of crash, so I'd pick that. The rest are meh, I wouldn't be bothered if most of those weren't picked as the next. I'd probably go with the completing of the Maginot mission, just because I'm out of stuff to do on this game.

Re: To-do list NO THE VOTING DOES NOT WORK GET OVER IT CHRIST
It was actually about fixing problems RESULTING from a crash. So it's even more useful! You know the problem, cortex command crashes, and then you have to go to the task manager and manually end the process? At least I think that's what he's talking about...

I haven't complained yet If IRC does get an early build, you'll give it to me, right grif? Right? But I want destroyable jetpacks, and some other stuff I can't think of right now. Anyway, awesome.

Aspect, the weird process-not-stopping-when-CC-crashes has been around since build 13 at least, although back then it left the process running even when you closed it normally.
I want destroyable jetpacks, and fixed AHuman movement.

Grif wrote: It's a goddamn list of some of the eventual features of CC. Everyone's constantly complaining about not knowing what will happen next in CC. And then I give you a fudge list, and all you do is ♥♥♥♥♥ and MOAN. In the original post it sounds like it works, which is the source of the confusion. And a lot of people put OP at a higher priority over other things. Complaints are expect able when people think they're getting more than they are. Grif wrote: Christ, next time IRC gets an early build we are rubbing it in your goddamn FACES. There's several things about this that irritate me. While I won't get into it, I still felt the need to mention it. Which is silly, but oh well. Anyways, this is pretty cool to see whats being considered for addition, but the way votes will be distributed by this seems a bit odd; three votes that could be used for things that would take anywhere from 1 to 100 hours of development time to do. I suppose individual votes will be considered more when used for smaller things. It would be great if votes could be changed, since from how I read data's irc thing people get one new vote every month. Or is one new suggestion that can be voted upon added each month? Either way, having the ability to change them after their initial choosing would be good. I don't understand what a few of these mean. -make optional pre-fire period for guns, with separate sound support Trigger delay? Like a minigun spinning up it's barrels, or soldat barrett-esque trigger hold time? Either, depending on fullauto? -Terrain structural integrity algo Algorithm improvements? -Fix/improve unsupported pixels removal, make give better control so betonggrisar don't disappear What

I think that pre-fire is yeah minigun spin up or maybe like a super laser charging (I have a pie for the first person to bring up the related meme) By improving the terrain algorithm I hope he means making concrete bunkers a bit more sturdy instead of being cut up like butter with the Gatling guns. I sure some people like this as it is but hey maybe it'll be a slider option in the game. As for the pixel removal somtimes when using a modded flame weapon the fire effect freezes in place, might be talking about removing that.

Bullion wrote: I think that pre-fire is yeah minigun spin up or maybe like a super laser charging (I have a pie for the first person to bring up the related meme) I have two anti-pies to be delivered directly to the face for that person. It's not obscure, and is rather over used to the point of no longer being funny. "shoop da whoop bawww lul" no ...And now I have to buy a pie, eat it and yours, and then have them negated in a messy way which would actually result in a planet-destroying explosion. Wonderful. Anyways, yeah that's probably it. It probably also works the way I'm thinking for not fully automatic weapons. The whirring sound of rotating barrels and other similar sounds always stir up a strong sense of either anticipation or fear, so that would be a great feature. Except in Left 4 Dead. The mounted minigun in it just didn't have an overwhelming feel to it. Disappointing. But I digress. Bullion wrote: As for the pixel removal somtimes when using a modded flame weapon the fire effect freezes in place, might be talking about removing that. Yeah, I thought that might be what it meant, but that was only a vague guess of mine as to what it meant. That would be nice if fixed; I made a molotov with a lasting ground effect and it looks simply awful at the moment because of this. It looks like some strange chemical foam remnant. Although it can probably be avoided by current means of modding, I don't know, I haven't really tried.

I've noticed it happens much more often during timescales of less than 0.6 or so, so keeping lag to a minimum would likely fix most problems with it. Having Data fix it entirely would be nicer.
