Re: A Proposition
it really only strengthens the point that he either's ♥♥♥♥ with us or he's just interacting with the internet with reckless abandon or a lack of awareness of self.
or a lack of respect. again, thor while i don't have anything against you and still respect you what you did isn't something i can just brush aside.
then again there isn't any way we can make you answer to it and surely make you repent. so in all fairness there isn't much we can do at this point.
however if it does happen again and/or you don't clean up your act a little i won't think you deserve respect from anyone on here.

Re: A Proposition
To be honest, NeoSeeker, this isn't about "respect" or some kind of silly "internet cred" with this community.
I threw out this idea because I personally feel like I game I enjoy and the community around it is generally speaking deteriorating. Whether or not you respect me for what I've done is pretty low on my priority list.

Re: A Proposition
do your really feel that CC is deteriorating? i feel quite the opposite, but i feel similar about the community. i havnt been here long enough to see that much up and down, but it just seems more spammy at the moment. i also agree with exalion when he says mods and policies are the way to go. the moderators arent as active as some would like, though they do do a good job. perhaps some more moderators could be recruited from the responsible, active userbase we have. i dont know who really fits the first prerequisite though.. id still like some proper feedback on why tim was demodded. was it really just that irc incident?

Re: A Proposition
This is the last time I say this. This is NOT A DEBATE ABOUT THOR. We are debating what to do about the quality of posts, specifically in the support forum. DO NOT DISCUSS THOR ANYMORE.

Re: A Proposition
A forum that i've been a member at for years, Cracked.com (formerly pointlesswasteoftime.com) has a very functional and reasonable "Rules" section that would benefit any forum i think. It's found here and (not to be an ass about this) it works very very well. Granted they have a very large and very active moderating force, but i'm sure there are members here who would make okay recruits in a moderating militia. Cracked is a totally different animal than DRLFF, but there are things to be learned from them. Check it out, there may be some solutions there.

As this always happens with arguments of this type, this topic is not about how "O.G." you are but about providing ways to better the community.

Re: A Proposition
To back up wutangfang, Azukki and Allen are fairly new members and they're a joy to have on the forums.
My point was that older users tend to be tolerated a little more than newbies.

Re: A Proposition
eh, being new didnt stop me very much. you just have to use your head on these forums, and know what flame to ignore. im probably not a joy to have on the forums though. wow, did 7 pages of discussion boil down to this? thats pretty poor. i suppose the topic kelas started was even blunter than this, and the moderation is picking up.
