Ok, this isn't gonna apply to everyone because it's not a tip about CC, but I learned something yesterday that's monumentally useful. Notepad can display the line number! If you make sure format -> word wrap is disabled, you can enable view -> status bar, which tells you the row and column you're on. This means you can actually find the error on line 492 without trying to count up to 492.

or.... in notepad you can press Ctrl + G to find a line. much easier.

This should be stickied.

And yeah, the 'find line' function in notepad is the best for finding problematic syntax, but the status bar is equally useful for other stuff, like remembering the line number if you try something which probably won't work (so when you go to fix it you don't HAVE to search)
