Re: Asplode Corp
Yeah, maybe next time I have 2 months of free time to burn.
Update! Added the Zero-Gravity grenade launcher. this weapon started as an accident, I think it works pretty darn well considering.
Edit: Oops, double post.

Re: Asplode Corp
I'll be honest. giant robot of 1000 attachables will not happen anytime soon for the following reasons:
- the concept of it in my head isn't clear enough for me to sprite it. - It's way too hard - It'd take to long - I'm lazy.
The craft will be made as soon as: - I have tonnes of free time - I get a good idea of how I want it to look.

Re: Asplode Corp
i dont want 1000 or even 100 attachables cause it will start to lag quite a bit. in any case, i still feel the ship should look like drop-ship and rocket gibs glued together.

Re: Asplode Corp
Maybe you can make a sketch or just rough blueprint of how the monster and the craft would look like. I'm sure there are people out there who are free enough to make a detailed plan for them. Of course, unless you want them to be entirely original work, then maybe not.

Re: Asplode Corp
oh, and the SCRAP needs more small gibs (gib metal grey micro A for example), it doesnt gib enough mess for what it is.. this will get even more awesome when all the actors have a 1st party or higher level of polish on them.

Re: Asplode Corp
Yeah, I have been a little slack with my gibs, I'll make some. Also, unless I get a REALLY good idea, actors are done. finito. No more, 2 1/2 is enough, just look at Darkstorm. Coming soon: Nailgun, the first cheap and nasty weapon since the Scrapcannon, which is yet to be re-worked, being relaced by the mid-range AGR. I won't release it just yet, it still needs tweaking. I'll do the gibs as well and release it all together. Allen has volunteered to be assistant design guy, so we can all expect he's fantastic drawings filling up this thread and bugging the crap out of the moderators! Any other weapon requests? I'd prefer low-end weapons, I have plenty of pricey weird ones for the Oyster, but the Scrap's arsenal is pretty sad.

Re: Asplode Corp
Perhaps some kind of crossbow or powered pipe. Like a powered sword in form of a pipe.

Re: Asplode Corp
A gun concept...
A gun that fires sparks. Like, it makes scraps of metal supercollide and fans them out its cannon. And stuff. Basically, it just shoot sparks.

Re: Asplode Corp
Maybe... a (small) trebuchet type thing that throws some random junk? That's about the cheapest weapon I can think of.

Funnily enough, it's actually a fairly pricey and deadly gizmo: you need a complex mechanism to hurl the junk, and the large heavy junk hurts. that kind of thing was what inspired the beast minigun. As for the spark gun, would the sparks hurt people? Because in real life all that would do is to be pretty, start fires and destory the user's hands. As for the crosbow, maybe I should re-vamp the old scrapcannon, which uses two big springs to throw something. like the AGR, but much cruder. I could change it from a sniper to a powerful, but innaccurate side-arm kind of weapon.

Um... handle, motor, arm, scoop, random object. What part of it is complex or pricy? Although since you can't have a throwing animation, it was kind of more a general idea...

Um, all that is more complex and pricey than 'big spring, metal tube.'

Re: Asplode Corp
We need some scraped robots with missing lower bodies. Then they can zap whoever comes too near with their broken cables.
