It appears that this gentleman has successfully dug to the center of the planet then imploded from all the gravity. (What's that black whole like thing in the middle of the planet, whatever it is don't touch it)

Uhhh, that would be the brain bunker. I guess he must have gone so far to the middle that his actor spazzed out and exploded :P

Just tried it with the MPAM it was wicked. You were right about the spazzing and the violent explosions "It killed everyone on planets surface".

I just tried this out. Good to see some really new stuff after a long time :) Pretty neat.

I was wondering if it's possible to land on moon without disturbing it's orbit? One time i caused it to collide with space station, and half of it went inside, the other time i landed on it, it went outside the level. And while it was stuck inside space station, i thought about testing if Lagrange points worked, but didn't seem to. The moon seems to have quite low mass compared to the rocket, single hit, and off goes the moon :D

But i did manage to get pretty good orbit with seemingly low eccentricity around the planet. The rocket flew about 5 times around the planet before i had to use the main thrusters to slow down. The speed seemed to increase after every orbit.

Some actual mission with combat combined with stuff like this might be really cool. If only you could rotate the actors freely. (Somersaults FTW \o/)

And Merry Christmas.

I wonder when I'm done using the Ypsilon as a means of getting to the center of the shitty satellite.

Thanks for the feedback.
With CC's physics engine, unfortunately, you can't land on movable objects.
If you were to increase the mass of the moon, however, it may not be disturbed from its orbit as much. I mostly put it there for demonstration of multiple gravitational pulls and for the humour of getting creamed by a giant orbiting planet :P
And I agree, a mission would be very cool. The AI, however, just isn't set up to do so for now  Maybe in the future.

Could you make a version with the moon as a door? And it stops when you get close to it?

Great Map!

In the first post you say you can stop particles slowing the computer down with lua... how do you do that? My computer goes into denial whenever i use a digger :)

And why doesn't the gravity = x command have any effect on other maps?

And could you add a brain or another non-moving actor to the moon so It's easier to track?

In order to make the lag decrease, you'd have to remove the gravity code for pixels. That means that when you use the digger, the particles will float off into space, though, and you won't get cool stuff like orbiting space junk.
The reason gravity doesn't work on other maps is that it isn't a part of the game. The variable only exists in the script that runs this level. The gravity on this level is actually simulated. The game's preset gravity is set to 0 and then I just change the velocity of the stuff on the level through scripts.
For the moon, you could probably just make the moon an actor if you wanted. That would be the easiest way to do it. I'm pretty busy lately, but you should be able to do it. It would involve changing all the scripts, though.

WHAT THE HELL!?!?!?

EDIT: also, can someone make grasslands have gravity?

Once the moon lands, it turns into terrain (eventually).
Also, if you were to make Grasslands a campaign mission, you could use this type of gravity. Otherwise, it would be constant.

I was like...Ordering a dropship. Then suddenly BAM!! My ship comes down in pieces with the moon...

It was hella fun! It was different from what I expected but this is FUN!!! XDDDD Love it!

I wish you made a version without the random space station sitting there, it really messes with my landing zones and orbiting stuff.
