Post A couple questions about Cortex Command...
Hey,
The Mac version of CC just came out and I grabbed it. I love it, but have two questions...
- How do you win a skirmish?
- Does anybody know how to install things other than scenes (figured out how to install those, just drag the un-zipped file to the resources folder) in the Mac version?

Cant help you with the install, since I have windows...


But... you CAN NOT WIN A SKIRMISH.
Skirmish is basicaly an infinite mode full of death and destruction... and, of course, FUN!

That is... if you can defend your brain...

You install it pretty much the same way as you would on Windows, except that the folder is IN the application.

To reach it, right-click on the app (Cortex Command b22), and then select "Show package contents". Go into the "Resources" folder and you should see the already present .rte folders. Add the mods you want :)

Yea, I have a problem, this happens with all mods that include: new actors, base tiles, and some weapons and vehicles. The Panzor (mod) is used as an example...

I'm having the same problem with some mods. The paths in a couple of ini's use both / and \ , but only \ is handled correctly on this build it seems. This can be corrected.

Another problem happens when CC loads some effect bitmaps, and I have no idea how this one happens. This is what you're running into right now and I didn't solve it either. On my side, it's happening with the Crobotech mod.

The same mods, on the Windows B22 ran from the same computer don't run into this problem.
