Re: Lightning Gun, now with more lightning! *Updated*
Well, it's unfortunately impossible to rotate glows per se (*hint hint*), but i suppose i could make a serparate glow file entirely and have those be emitted as well. Problem is, that'd mean twice as many glows when the bolt is flying... The gibs wouldn't be a problem, as i can just halve the amount of the current glows, and have the other half be the new ones.

Not to make a shameless plug, but I feel I did a good job on the discharge from my shock mortar, as far as an actual convincing lighting bolt goes. Its not easy to do something that actually looks like a lightning bolt but is also dynamic in CC.

Especially because of the fact that i can't make effect sprites to save my life. Also, your shocking weapons happens to be the main source of inspiration for this. (Even though i made it from scratch, more or less) The branching was a pain to make functional though, but i feel that it was worth it. Partly because i'm pretty sure that it's the first time a chance-to-gib functionality has been used... @Marloss: I'll keep my "no-this-does-not-look-like-lightning" club ready 'till then. :0 @Chac: Thanks, and i've had them released for months now. Look in my sig for "Pelian Army"...

Oh btw thanks for confirming one thing. Emitters attached on a gun still pile up. I though Data got that one fixed.

Mmhmm. Alright, here's my CRITICISM. The lightning should travel much faster and in a narrower scope. When the bolts impact something, there should be a small explosion like with the electrolaser o=

Just tested it out. The sprites are awesome! It looks like a weapon from those retro sci-fi movies. Though it's really really hard to kill anything other than yourself with it. The direction is too random, it literally 'back fires', it's just too dangerous. But still, I like this gun.
Perhaps you should use the same coding to make a zapping death ray gun? You know, those that never shoot in a straight line?

It's fun. Doesn't look much like lightning (although the sounds help) but I love random weapons like this.

As soon as the copyright info screen pops up (The Alt + Enter Screen) I disable the mod, loads fine.
