My childhood dreams
A long time ago, when I was just a boy, I would draw pictures of astronaut miners doing battle. They dug through asteroids that hung of the planet and landed in little rocket ships. Of course, in my dreams these battles extended into space, but really, the similarities between the pictures and this game are nearly flawless.
Sadly, despite my father's frequent refrain of "You should make those games" whenever I whiled away my time blasting pigcops as Duke Nukem, or playing Total Annihilation, I never learned to program and so I'd like to thank this company for their creation. Makes me believe in telepathy even more.

Re: My childhood dreams
So this is your dream game, good for you, buy it, play it, and modify it.

Re: My childhood dreams
Something kinda like this happened to me for Super Mario World 2. Alright, it's completely different, but it had something to do with dreams. I spent the night trying to beat birdo (shut up) and I couldn't do it (again, shut up). I went to sleep, had a dream where mario was hopping on the eggs and picking them up (not a lie). I got up, played, beat birdo, and have been confused about what happened ever since then.

While some of the goers here seem to be a little...stringent, on the kind of players they prefer in the community, most will be willing to aid you in your progression of learning to modify, and code the game, should you go through the proper channels. And honestly they've got great tutorials, tons of resources (like sprites, sounds, and scenes you can learn from), and plenty of threads that you can learn from. Again though, go through the proper sequences before you start asking, or posting things. Other than that, follow your dreams. It's here right in your hands.

Re: My childhood dreams
You should really follow your dream, mod it into your own.

Re: My childhood dreams
God I used to love TA... Compared to a lot of other games, I keep on returning to this one, consistently, and constantly.
