Not bad. Try working on separating the handle from the ammo box. Also, separate the chainsaw from the muzzle.

It's pretty good for a first try though.

Is it in the CC Palette?

its actually a pallet i selected myself. i see where the muzzle separation gets a little off. I definitely need to work on the blue which i will definitely do. The handle is separate or does it need to go back more? But i really need to get the muzzle separated :P
great suggestions BTW

Make the gun a little bigger, so you have more room. The handle and ammo look a little close, but forgivable.

Also, CC is very picky. It won't accept anything outside of palette, so I would fix that.

elongated the gun, added some blue for detail, made ammo hold bigger , separated handle from ammo load and separated muzzle from saw
you cant really see the blue but its there

If it isn't in CC pallette there's no way of judging the sprite: CC pallette is very restrictive and half your colours will vanish.

make everything thats white 255,0,255 and then paste into a working CC sprite and save as, then repost so we can see what colours last.

In order to actually use you sprite ingame correctly, all sprites have to have only a certain 255 colors. You can find these colors in the Base.rte/palette.bmp image. It should also have the actual color restrictions imbedded in it, so if you paste your image into a copy of the palette, it will change the colors to whatever is closest, however, this usually messes up your sprite pretty bad, so it's better to fix it by hand.

Doesn't Pixen come with documentation? (I've never used it)

i think you go to "Palette" at the top of your bar and go "install palette" and you find the CC. palette and then you should be ok. Maybe when you do this your sprite might change color and you will have to fix it.

that would be all that i know..

Pixen seems to only open palettes in its own format. In order to create a CC palette you have to open palette.bmp as an image, then export its palette (Palette > Export Document Palette). You will now be able to use it.
For convenience, I linked the resultant palette to my post.
Note that you can then convert your sprite using the Manual Mode (same menu).
