Post Re: D&D and such
Hey. I'd just be the DM. The dickery in game is up to the other players. I'd prolly start of pretty strict as I dunno who here has played and who here has not. Exp and such. As it goes on I'd be up for some leeway.
I can afford some srs bsns but its just a game. Goofing is always in sometime. No Tinker Gnomes riding giant mechanical turkeys with miniguns attached to their head. Though... as this is a team game, the general air of the campian i'd like to be set by you guys. i.e. goofy or srs or ♥♥♥♥ batshit loco.

I was thinking that the most bull♥♥♥♥ I'd pull would be a human monk with no social skills, so I guess that's ok.
God, the last time I looked at this stuff was when I was 13. Damn.
3.5 seems really complex; I used to play 2nd Edition.

Oh, and I will NEVER touch 4e. k?
3.5 is probably the easiest to pick up... but I've only played 3 and 3.5 so *shrug*
Monks is cool. Beasty freaks at high lvls.

Anyone who cuts trees down with their shins for fun is worth watching.
Preferably on TV, since that's usually outside of their range.

I'll play. I've not played proper in too long. I've been stuck DMing for the past months. Just telling you ahead of time I am going to be evil. Also, what the ♥♥♥♥ was Pelor doing exploring? Shouldn't he be busy, oh I don't know, doing ♥♥♥♥ gods do?

I'll play. I've never actually tried DnD IRL though. I call a magic based person.

I have the 3.5 core books, so I might join. I would DM but I have no experience as such and I don't know all the rules and nuances very well just yet.

You should post your time zone and approximate schedule if applicable, potential DMs.

I could start a new thread and get all the bits n' things set up on that. All the needed tools and all that fun stuff. I could DM for the first campaing. I'm currently in a campain right now as a Viking which is pretty nuts. This could be a little bit of a change for me.

If we start, do it after Christmas. If we start before, everyone would leave for Christmas ♥♥♥♥ and it'd break the flow. Plus, I hope you realize that not everyone is gonna be able to be in it and you're gonna have to turn away people. 20 MAN D&D CAMPAIGN YEAH.

Oh... I know that I'll have to turn people away. It'll be a first come first serve deal. I'll also set up timezones and all that fun stuff. Too.

Yeah aren't you in ♥♥♥♥ Japan? Also get Skype. It's perfect for a few people, and if not, I can host a Vent.

I've wanted to play D&D before but same as everyone else...I don't know anyone who would play with me. My friends wouldn't do it ha.

I did once make a marijuana farmer in D&D and gave him like a really good farming level and low combat and high strength lol. Ahhh...I think I started to make the plant marijuana too but stopped because it was taking too long to do and stuff...

I downloaded the SRD thing, and when I run the d20 SRD.exe file, I get this error message...

Code:

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

What exactly does this all mean, and am I using the thing right?

Download it!
If you haven't allready done so, download the SRD so you can use it off-line from here. Just unzip, open "home.html" and bookmark for future use.
