I feel like adding this to the stuff to do list.

Making a new weapons category:
DSWM - Missiles


DSA6 Fire Support Mech:
Idea: Older then the base DSA units (8 and up). These do not sport the same armor type and materials. They come prebuilt in many configs. Their size limits them to outdoor use, and they are not equipped with jetpacks, but feature a powerful jump. Fragile, fast, heavy, and comes with mech grade weapons.

What I am currently working on:
Tweaks
DSA9 C type - Finishing arms and legs + feet, lazy.
Rocket - Starting to love the sprite.

Erhrmmm... I'm just changing the names of my current missile/rockets...

I'm kinda seeing Kloveska's raptors in a larger form. But they're primitive robots compared to the current ones you see, and the head is fairly large. And when I mean mech grade... Its a step up from robot grade, basically stuff you see on larger vehicles, the DSWB05 Gatling Guns are a simple variation of those found on human helicopters, the mech grade type would be the RAC hrmmmmm. You're gonna hate me more now -_-;

Yes, I am. Because an upgrade from your current level of power is utterly pointless. I would never buy these "mech grade" weapons when the cheaper - apparently not mech grade - weapons are just as effective against the sorts of enemies you fight in CC. I actually like your small, dual-wieldable gatling guns. They're not overly expensive and they're about as rape-tastic as things ever need to get. Ever. And they're even pushing it, especially with two of them. The larger gatling gun pales in comparison, for being bigger, heavier, and more expensive for no real advantage, since things die just as fast under the smaller ones.

Am I wasting my time here? Because I feel like I am. My points are valid, and I'm trying to help you make your mod something unarguably awesome. You don't seem to be responding, so I'm just going to get harsher until it either sinks in or I give up in exasperation. And I'm a patient guy, so don't expect me to go away anytime soon.

So how do I balance what I WANT to make, and what I should be doing? Or what I want to make should be placed into a different mod entirely? It ends up killing what I "see" in my mod though.

I have been responding, noting the history of me nerfing my guys, nerfing weapons if not little by little.

You know, you can add in his stuff to the things that spawn... yes his stuff annihilates the vanilla units, but as long as they're balanced against the other things he has and hopefully similar mods, it's not a problem.

I understand both sides of the situation. Just take it for what it is and if it's big enough of a deal, maintain two versions: one DSMK2's "original artistic vision" and the other Darlos9D's "practical" version.

he is nerfing it all darlos. just with that many weapons, it takes time. it also takes some time to tune down the robots, but i agree it should all be taken down a few more notches, especially towards the low end. your low end robots should be at most as durable to fire as the robot 2 and durable to falls as a double strength fleshie.
not as strong as a dropship. darlos has been nerfing his dudes bit by bit, release by release, until its become actually possible to kill them from a normal fall (way back i used to be able to have them slam into a pile of metal debris and walk away 10 health poorer), and now the darklones are undeniably the most balanced and therefore fun to play mod from the current selection.
