I'd like to announce a strategy I have discovered. I call it The Crab Bomb. It's one of the cheapest and most useful weapons in the game.
PROBLEM:
1. You are almost out of money.
2. You want to dig a vertical hole very quickly, possibly to get to a vault.
3. The enemy AI is closing in and you want to distract them.
4. You want to laugh your butt off.
Enter The Crab Bomb. Simply open the catalog and put about one page's worth of crabs in an order (FOR FREE!) and choose the drop crate as the delivery method. For only 20 gold pieces, you now have a crab bomb at your disposal. It works very well in skirmish matches. There is one gotcha, though. Use of this weapon will drastically increase your body count since crabs are considered units.
THE ANSWER: The Crab Bomb
1. Cheap at only 20 gold.
2. If you add page upon page of crabs, the crate will get so heavy, it will form a nice vertical shaft in the dirt. ***WARNING: Will cause slow-downs due to massive amounts of crabs! Still totally worth it, though.***
3. Enemy AI will often ignore your brain to chase after nearby crabs.
4. Many scenarios with hilarious results will ensue.
For example, if you time it right, you can use the crab bomb to destroy enemy landing craft. Twisted metal and crab entrails will rain from the sky almost surely crushing the units just dropped by the craft. Just before their deaths but after the explosion, the enemy AI units will look up with an exclamation point over their heads as they cope with their impending doom.
Death by crabs: units will be crushed, if not by the crate itself, by the crabs that will spew out of the crate. If the crate becomes stuck, it will automatically scuttle itself and cause a hilarious crab explosion. During the explosion, some crabs will survive. As they are tossed in the air, they will sometimes perform what I've termed "The Crab Dance". You'll know it when you see it.
Ricochet: I've witnessed shotgun blasts killing enemies as the shots ricochet off the crate.
Please, try the crab bomb at home. You're guaranteed hours of fun as well as lots of subtle and hilarious fatalities.
