A snow blower would be a fun idea, something like a digger that fires backwards, doesn't destroy any ground particles and propels the 'exhaust' further.

use tim's weather :D
make a snowy flatlands (with some interesting ice contours etc) and then have it snow. uneven terrain while you wait! :)
