You're right - I forgot to include an Index.ini overwrite for MP3 in the integrated folders. :cry: I'm not sure how you'd get your exact error, but I'll attach a file to the main post which should fix errors related to integrated MP3 parts.

is it inteded that the index.ini you posted here only has three lines?

// IncludeFile = Maps - Objects/Effects.ini
// IncludeFile = Maps - Objects/Objects.ini
// IncludeFile = Maps - Objects/Old Objects.ini

if I use that, nothing will work at all...
and if I just change the lines in the normal index.ini noting works either...

edit: all right... sorry I didn't get it... of course this is the index.ini for the Maps - Objects.rte folder.
well... anyway. replaced the index.ini with the one you provided (the right one this time) but still, nothing.
the error this time is different:
Referring to an instance ("fill concrete2") to copy from that hasn't been defined!
in Maps - City.rte/scenes/suburbs.ini at line 30

this error my be due to the fact that the objects.ini is commented out and thus the object is not defined... but that's just my ignorant guess...

Oh my goog grief! I made it! Don't ask me how or why...
well my guess is, you need to have the integrated version to use the Map pack, and the index.ini fix...
now it works fine. Sorry to have bothered you with my noobness! :)

Oh right, I should probably add that to the notes. Maps - Objects files need to be loaded before the scenes or the scenes wont know any of the references. Either used the integrated version or name the folder and appropriate indexes to something earlier in the alphabet* - or just used the integrated install anyways. Glad you got it worked out, though. :)

*Just to avoid technicalities, you'd need to make the folder an rte, too.

What the hell did this do to DSTech?

Code:
Abortion in file ./System/Reader.cpp line 530, because:

Referring to an instance('DS Weapon wound') to copy from that hasn't been defined! in DSTech.rte/DS00.rte/Devices.ini at line 16!

Knew something would go wrong with this, there's many steps you have to go through.

Is that with or without the compatibility patch? I added extra walls from the DST set (shrunken the giant ones (though they still need some work)). The error you got indicates you installed the regular version, then DSTech, and used the integrated compatibility patch. To fix yourself go into your DSTech.rte index.ini and delete the comments on the first 4 lines with them; or reinstall the quick patch.
If you are indeed using the integrated version, somehow those commented lines got dropped from base.rte/index.ini - you can reinsert them there.

This really should have the CloneFarm in it. It's pretty much the precursor to the Zombie tubes in B22.

You can find it here:

Code:
Abortion in file .\System\Reader.cpp, line 530, because:
Failed to open included data file in Base.rte/Index.ini at line 9!
Um... I'm not sure if I screwed it up or what.

Line 9 is windows.rte, but also the first of the new content; did you remember to extract from the 'extract my contents' folder then the integration files? If you just did the integration indexes none of the content is there to be loaded. If you just didn't want the windows modules, remove the line from base.rte/index.ini

That's probably it. I got confused and thought that the Extract my contents folder was something completley different. Well I'm fixing all that now.
EDIT: Ok, it got past the first error but now there's a new one:
Code:
Abortion in file .\System\Reader.cpp, line 530, because: Could not match property in Maps - Objects/Objects.ini at line 4!

The attachment on the main post should fix that (I haven't had the problem but that's all I found out of order). Or you can comment out the Maps - Objects/index.ini yourself (just a // before each line).

Glad I could help. :)

Seeing how this thing is slowly reaching a healthy quality, I think I'll provide an official (optional) one-rte solution with 2.1 (sometime in the next week when I get around to tackling my list).
Things currently on the menu: the usual tweaks and menu rearrangement, getting the last 2.0 fixes in with the main pack, Desert Strike base doors, Apocalypse Tower prefab rooms, and possibly the CloneFarm and Trap Modules if they aren't too time-intensive. Also being considered are trenches.
