I'm fairly new here, so I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post. Anyway, is there a way to edit how much gold you start with on skirmish mode? Any help would be appreciated

I am equally unsure whether this is the correct place for this question (although I suspect it should go in a more general forum, this seems like tech support), but I can answer it for you anyway.

Find and edit activities.ini - if you've got the latest version I think the one in missions.rte is the one to edit, and scroll down until you find PresetName = Skirmish Defense. Everything under that line refers to the settings for a skirmish map, and so you can adjust the starting gold there, at FundsOfTeam1 or FundsOfTeam2 respectively.
