Esoteric controllers...
Has anyone tried to play CC with a weird controller, like a ColecoVision controller or a Genesis controller? If so, how well did it work?
Weirdest I've used was a 360 controller, and honestly... I'll stick to keyboard and mouse, thank you very much.

I love playing keyboard vs 360 controller. Once you've figured out the controls, your like a F***ing ninja! Sneaking through the game with skill and lightning-fast ordering abilities.

Keyboard mouse all the way. Pinpoint precision for sniping.

Re: Esoteric controllers...
I could see a 360 port doing really well though. Achievments and everything.
I prefer the keyboard and all, as I'm mainly a PC gamer, but in terms of the playstyle of CC, I could see awesomeness on a console.

Re: Esoteric controllers...
Started with KB+M, and even played it on a gamepad with no analogs (back before mouse aiming was implemented-probably Build 10 or so), but I generally prefer using a dual-analog pad now. Aiming with a twiddlystick allows me to make quick snap shots in a general direction, which is helpful when you're fighting off a bunch of hostiles.
I'd probably be far more likely to move back to KB+M if they refined the mouse aiming portion, though. It's a bit odd to make snap shots with, especially since there isn't any cursor or aiming reticle half the time. (On the other hand, it's much easier to snipe and order stuff with the mouse.) Making it more like Soldat where you can always see a reticle showing EXACTLY where you're aiming, as well as zooming out depending on the cursor's distance from the center and edges of the screen, would pretty much perfect it in my eyes and make me put the X360 gamepad aside.

Re: Esoteric controllers...
I've got a wireless 360-clone controller for my PC, worked quite well split-screen. Only problem was, when I tried to configure it in 'dual analogue' mode, the aim controls would be inverted! Even if I entered the configs 'backwards' (i.e. moved the thumbstick right when it said left) it still came out with a horizontal and vertical control invert. I have no idea what's causing it, but the 'single d-pad' configuration works well enough, just have to remember the 'precision aim' button when sniping, or just use bullet-spammers and heavy weapons.

Odd, I LOVE using my 360 controller to play, but HATE the keyboard. I've always find the 360 controller to be much more intuative.
