But if you have a sucky keyboard, there's too much lockups to play.

Three people on keyboard = not fun.

Two people using gamepads and one using keyboard = fun.

Having to crawl behind desk to plug said gamepads in = not fun.

So wait, using multiple x360 controllers works with this method? Hell I want to try this now.

Well, I tried 2 player CoOp on ShadowGrounds with 2 mouse and one keyboard and it was pretty good.

Also mouses are cheaper than a 360 controller to my experience.

Get a software that maps mouses to "windows game controllers"

Mouse control is more responsive, but less deliberate. Keyboard offers more precision, but not as rapid response.

The entire mouse/keyboard argument can be summed up by the above. Personal preference and practice determine what a player can do with each control scheme.
I doubt anyone can refute that statement.

It's also an ability thing. some people just suck with the mouse. its not that they never use computers or mice, its just that they have very little hand eye coordination. or their mice are way too responsive or something.
I like all forms, and nothing really seems that much better... I like being able to duck easily with mouse controls, but then you cant use the sharp aim ability as easily as with keyboard. gamepad/controller is nice because you can jetpack multiple directions easily. also it has pretty good sharp aim, i think... also it works for the crouch. I don't like switching between bodies with it though...
those are my arguments for each

Apparently I'm the only one who has better aim with the mouse.

Keyboard + mouse ftw.

I prefer the mouse and keyboard for it's reliability, and how it leans towards weapon accuracy.

But, the 360 has access unique functions over the jetpack, and other utilities, but is harder to use.

Post Re: Multiplayer with multiple mice
Keyboard only really is great -> also I can use mouse just fine, I just prefer keyboard for some reasons I won't go into >_>
and there is an easy solution...

Hook up multiple KEYBOARDS, not multiple mice.

Sounds a little silly, but this way there are:
no hands getting in the way
no problems with multiple keypresses

... now your only problems are getting used to keyboard if you aren't already, plus the fact you need several keyboards and several USB/keyboard ports [but that would be a problem with multiple mice anyway, just with mice instead of keyboards 3:]

one more thing:
three players on pure keyboard + one with key/mouse works with this too.

-> by the way as a shiftcapsless edit i just realized someone else pointed this out but seriously it works well especially if you're going to go through all the trouble of trying to get several mice anyway i feel like such a fool for missing all those people talking about what i'm talking about right here like i'm showing everyone the light when i'm not at all ;-;

That'd be a major problem.

They all act as if they're one keyboard.

So if P1 Assigned shoot to Shift, then someone on another keyboard could untentially make him/her shoot.

Of course, but it's still better than shared keyboard.
---> Nevertheless all you have to do is avoid such things which shouldn't really be that difficult. While playing how often do you go out and press buttons other than your controls?
(Also you can stifle this problem a little by not assigning any of the big / double buttons, i.e. spacebar, shift)

Oop. I just realized - I think you typoed intentionally, making it -look- like unintentionally.
Still, though: Most (all?) of the time (while you're playing multiplayer anyways) you're playing with your friends, right?
And your friends are good people, right?
And they, just like you, are playing for fun and would like to maximize this fun for everybody. ... right?
