Alright, just finished the game, and I have got to say it was pretty fun. I rented it and am not quite sure if it is worth a buy, but it was pretty fun.

I played straight through barely doing any side-quests except when it is necessary. I had a pure and good Strength and Will user. Gonna play through with a Skill/Will Evil and corrupt person after I finish writing this. On a side note, don't ever eat food to heal you. You will get fat, very very fat. And you will not be able to lose that weight without eating a rather ungodly amount of celery.

Anyway, discuss.

This game fails all semblance of the expectations they put out for it.

I've been calling it for a year. Also this game is more broken than either STALKER at launch.

Uh this is Lionhead Studios dude. Peter Molyneux. See, by expecting him to keep his word and by eagerly expecting it you pretty much screwed yourself over. I did not get hyped about it or read up on it for this reason. Though to be fair I have not played the original Fable so maybe it falls short of it. Speaking of short its pretty short if you run right through it. Nevertheless it is still fun. Might not be the greatest of games, and it might be ridiculously easy, but its still fun.

I wasn't hyped. I called it failing out of control, which is what everyone who's not a reviewer being paid under the table (see: IGN, Gamespot, Game Informer, etc) is saying.

Edit: THEY REMOVED ARMOR.
THE COOP COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HACKED IN THERE

Sorry Venn I don't agree with you, I love this game and so does everyone I know personally who has played it.

It's definately worth doing the sidequests, they can cause some pretty cool changes in the world, although I think I'm only about half way through.

I can give you a good reason why they removed it.

Notice how in all RPGs there is that one armor that has the highest defence or highest stat raising thing?
Everyone would be wearing that armor.
Peter wants everyone to look unique.

Not to mention this is based on the swashbuckling age. What good can armor do if there's guns in the world?

In the real gunpowper age, armor was still extremely useful, until something like the mid-late 1700s or even the 1800s, it was possible to make plate armor that was literally "bullet" proof. Invincibility had a rediculously high price though.

I hope Fable 2 still have those bulky warrior armors and the big axes and the gameplay have a extended duration. Fable 1 was relatively short
Taking away the armor is risking the whole game's fate. Hope this work.

Fable 1 is awesome, I must admit :D

Once you get roll or flourishes, you don't even need armor sadly. You get hit so rarely, and besides put like 2 points into toughness and you are golden.

Also, Jox why would you hope if its already been established that its pretty short and the armor is gone?

I like the idea of no armor, but they still should have put in some decorative ♥♥♥♥. Something about someone who destroys the lives of hundreds a day walking around in frilly pants just puts me off my dinner.

You can dress your hideously evil male hero in leather hotpants, a corset and a powdered wig. Mmmmhmmm

Yea they should have had some armour for decoration, can't rule out marketplace downloads though. I hope they support this game well.
