Re: ATTN:
This is terrible news. All though it isn't worth sitting through hours of boring video just to see two people/

Eh, I doubt he'll give up on CC completely after all of the work he did. besides, a break will only help him not get writer's block (Coder's block? Repetitive creative action fatigue?) grenade wrote: Horrible news... the build 22 can be last ... ( ThIs Is AwFuL LiEmEnT) ... heh What? Please, make an effort to be understandable.

Cortex Command seems to be becoming less of a game and more of a game engine.

Let him take some breaks, just to have fun. Like remaking Ant Attack. Him taking breaks is cool and all, but not after so many people have bought the game.

This is the trouble with 1-man teams, there's nobody to stand behind you and get you to close the porn you've been looking at all day when you should've been working.

Prom's been pumping out art like a machine, Data's just not implementing it, even now that he has slav-- I mean helpers.

Re: ATTN:
You bought the right to play it, not the right to force Data to work on it. There was no guarantee with your purchase that the game would ever be finished.

Re: ATTN:
It's not necessarily the end of CC or anything like that. He's just working on another project for a while, as is expectant. Sidetracked to us, finally doing something new to him. You can't reasonably complain that he serves his own interests now and then.
Although an ant attack remake, I certainly didn't see that coming. Nor am I terribly excited about it, as is expectant. But if he's enjoying himself, then I've nothing against him doing that for a while.

Re: ATTN:
In retrospect, I am 100% behind Data doing the Ant Attack thing. -free publicity for DRL, more people purchase CC (possibly) -more customers = more incentive to work, better tools -gives Data a break from CC so he doesn't get stuck in a rut I think this'll turn out well.

Re: ATTN:
First party content seems to become less and less important wiht every update. Maybe Data should allow us to make plugins for the engine so we can do anything with it.

Maybe Data should add something like scripting and the ability to add custom content modules. Yeah, something like that would be cool.

Re: ATTN:
Don't know why everyone is flipping out over Ant Attack. Developing for the same concept gets tiring at times and small breaks to work on other interesting things aren't out of line.
