that's still very similar to how most people play the game. That's not how the game is intended to be played, but gameplay is commonly dictated by one person using one large powerful unit (as compared to the default units).

But if you look at his description, you will see that the scripted effects and extra special content are what makes this a deathmatch. Just because there already is a mode that sometimes people play like a deathmatch doesn't mean that numgun should stop making an awesome mod. stop whining

To think of that, I do realize that my stories blow generally. Mostly because I'm consentrating on making the content itself be awesome and when I'm making a story, I first think of an EPIC scene and then try to build a story around it.

@ Darlos: Bwhaha, try making something even more awesome than this. ;)

Well, this is the one project besides the CC stuff I am making. I've been working on this long ago before Data even contacted me and I really wanted something like this in CC for a long time now. And this mod is partially a tribute to the runestorm guys because I LOVE Ballistic Weapons myself really much.

Btw I've already made alot of stuff inspired by BW. Laser-tripmine were based of the FP9, The "Avenger" shotgun was based of the M763 shotgun. The flamer's vulnurable tank idea came from BW aswell.

@ ODIN: It will be Quake style DM. This means you only control a single mercenary during the entire match.


Also I shrinked the mercs head and it looks better now. I gave him an ear too so his head doesnt look so blocky no more. And on top of that I gave him a fuzzy hair! : D


Actually, now you mention it, I can see the resemblance between the M763 and the Avenger. It IS definetly an amazing mod, the weapons are actually better than the original UT ones, and that's an achievement. How about a lightning gun next! :wink: (because that won't be mind-bogglingly difficult AT ALL.)

Whoopdie doo, its normal CC with lua effects.

Like we're not going to see metric shit-tons of that stuff in the future.

Working on it. I'm not fully sure if I can combine flinging clones and hurting them at the same time though... It will have both attributes still. ; )

Alright! Got the rifles and the melee weapons done this time!
Also the merc went to the hair stylist and was shot by a shrink gun:

Now you can finally see most of the weapons much more clearly.
Do note that lots are still missing like the heavy weapons that I'm currently working on and that the railgun, minigun and the upcoming flamer will have backpacks. Havent done those yet.

He still could really use to lose a few pixels around his chin. Other than that, looking great. :)

Hmm, did i ever tell you that you're awesome? >.>
The Merc's head looks a lot better now. Nice.
If i have to be REALLY nitpicky, i'll say that the miniguns barrels look
like they're lined up in a column, not in a circle. But that's bordering
to perfectionism, and what i see so far looks downright awesome, like
i said before. It's amazing how much the weapons' sprites look like
the weapons seen in BW... One could almost be tempted to think that
you just took the 3D model, took a screenie of the side and shrunk it
down to CC size. Almost. Nice.
Lookin' forward to this shiznizzle (b'_')b

Edit: I see i got ninja'd. Doesn't seem like i need to revise my post though.

That mercenary seriously looks like he's either concentrating really hard, or taking a dump.
The helmet looks great though. I guess I'll have to just not get hit in the head when I play with this dude.
I think the minigun looks circular btw.

Thats a pretty sick assortment of weapons. I'm also sure you'll have sounds and effects to match, as one would expect of you.
