Ok, this time, I'm gonna learn how to code. And overall how to mod. This time we need full size bolters that shoot a bullet that detonates. We need to use the really small fire sprite from the rocket fire. I am searching through my old files for the dreadnaught and spacemarine for touching up and conversion. I think we should organize ourself this time. Only join if you will give your timw to making this a quality mod. We will work on the bolter first and get that perfect, and work from there. Unless you have code to dnate such as the piezo bolter code, don't give us sprites. And if you really want to, PM me and I'll see what i can do. So far to my understading we have:

Vanakra
CantTouchTheGround

Sounds good, it might be an idea to get all our weapons the same shade of red too, in the last release they seemed a bit disjointed from each other.

Agreed. And actualy, the bolter exploded with a white puff and a few bits of shrapnel.
I may be slightly inactive for the next 2 weeks, I recently got a new computer and I'm still messing with it (My old computer broke >.>) I'm also attempting to learn C++ to make some fun things. But, expect me to have at least one thing done over the weekend, who wants what done? Caelas, tell me what to do, I have no clue what to start on.

Good to see you back Vana!

Ok, well I'll dig thru my old files for some older 40k mods this weekend, but we need a brand spanking new uber ownage realistic bolter. It has to be big, it has to dire bullets that detonate heads, arms, everything. It doesn't shoot shapnel, it's a contained explision, like a little pop.

hmm, I think I remember Piezo's. They were excellent, although you needed a big soldier for them to look normal. AAL Marine big.

I personally think we should do a space marine with a crapload of attachables. The old one was ok, but i think a build 21 marine woul be pretty win. And sized to piezo's bolters? Oh yes.

Wutangfan, that would be awesome.

So GUYS.

I did some math.

It's pretty fun stuff.

So. The Warhammer 40,000 topic in Mod Making. 96 total posts. Not bad for a little thread in MM. Here's the catch: 32 of those 96 were made by Caelas. That's literally one third.

Of that 96 page thread (now, remember, there's fifteen posts per page on this forum).

Commander Cool made six posts.
Exalion was a fairly mild offender, with only four posts.
Grenade was close to the lead, and tied for third with seven posts.
Miles The Rat managed to scrape second with eight posts, though we all know he probably beat Caelas's wordcount by an order of magnitude.
RedSarge, surprisingly, tied for second, with eight posts.
Wutangfan managed third, with seven posts, for doing nothing but bitching about Piezo's bolters.

Here's the thing: those eight people made up literally three quarters of the replies to that thread in Mod Making. Yet, the credits list only mentions ONE of them.

Now, this topic here in mods, that's been sitting for six months? Two hundred thirty eight responses! Surely, there will be some author diversity here, right? Wrong.

Coming in first, once again, to win sweepstakes, is Caelas, with SEVENTY NINE posts. That's, remarkably consistently, exactly one third.

In second place today, we have Can'tTouchTheGround, who made fifty five posts, for 23% of the total.

And in third place we have Vanakra, with thirty seven posts. Interestingly enough, Vanakra only has fifty total posts; 74 percent of his posts are in this very thread. He comes in third with 16% of the thread total.

For those math wizards out there, you might have added up the totals of each member, and come to a startling conclusion. For the rest of us: Seventy nine (Caelas) plus fifty five (Can'tTouchTheGround) plus thirty seven (Vanakra) equals 171. Out of the total 238.

That's seventy two percent. Seventy two percent. Nearly three quarters of a 238 post thread was written by three people.

And the end result of this STARTLING amount of discussion: by my count, eight weapons that could have been put in the Minor Mod Compendium.

Congratulations on the Second Place Award for VAPORWARE, Caelas!

tl;dr: Will you people quit TALKING about making a warhammer mod and just MAKE A GODDAMN WARHAMMER MOD?

Jesus CHRIST.
