Well, I managed to get a copy at a very nearby store - I arrived a half hour after opening (11:00 AM) and there was no line
I'm still on the Tribal stage seeing as I haven't had much time to play but so far I like it. (Note to self, those bastards in green village die today)
It would probably benefit from a length bar à la Sim City, so you could play a stage for a bit longer if you wanted.
Anybody else going the middle path? By that I mean not friendly or aggressive. So far it's worked out pretty well for me.
And I had heard UFOs are rare but they keep coming and trying to get me. Once in the Creature stage I had found a strong creature and tried to befriend it.
Suddenly a UFO comes out of no where and scares the crap out of it so I had to chase it. Eventually after many tries I got to it and the UFO left.
So it's in my pack, and I move on to the Tribal stage, which means it's domesticated. I have one guy picking eggs up from the farm and guess what?
A UFO comes down and sucks up the same two creatures that had an encounter with the ship millions of years ago. Apparently history DOES repeat itself.

Yeah I found Sel's dudes randomly when exploring space. He's not on my buddy list or anything. Crazy huh? Also what is with Sel's dudes, seriously.

I got spore, and not only was the cell stage frustrating (it got bugged, so a giant cell always chased me when I respawned.) The game decided I should be a carnivore, because I ate one more cell than plant in cell stage, and so getting food is a ♥♥♥♥♥. But that means I can focus on the MAIMING AND DEVOURING of other species. Also, I like, can't advance to the tribal stage because there is an epic creature next door to my nest.

Well, i don't have x64, and it didn't work... Thanks in any case though.

I thought Tribal stage was bad... Civilization is leaving me getting in wars with people who I'm friends with... I captured the Brown city, then Red captured that town, and then they were complaining my borders were too close. And then Brown, my only friends, became an extinct Civilization.

You're probably a carnivore because of you're mouth and/or body parts no just because what you ate. You can easily just find a omnivore mouth and start eating both. Also for the epic thing- just try to befriend/destroy as many other groups till the evolution meter is full. If you mate quick enough, you wont be running from the epic, I had one near 2 of my nests and had to mate quickly and watched where he was and where I was going to avoid him.
