Re: DarkStorm Military Technologies - Updated 9/7/08
Well, new updates. I'm sure I'm about to get a crapstorm of design complaints about the shinobi, but whatever. A streamlined flight/stealth unit isn't going to have a bunch of stuff sticking out everywhere. And I only really re-designed the helmet. Oh, and made some of the blue parts less... blue.
I think we can all agree that the shogun and the flamethrower look better now, though. The flamethrower actually looks like fire!
Also, since I figured the shogun probably needed another weapon, I made a special version of the rocket launcher for it.
Honestly, unless I become aware of some glaring flaw, or I have some stroke of inspiration, I'm probably done with this mod for a while. There's other stuff I need to be doing...

Dunno, the new helmet for the shogun is pretty good, but the new one for the basic troops makes it feel more of a scout...

Hehe, the new helmet made the standard look like a grunt rather than a more personal looking guy. I liked the old design more, but if you look at the heavy guy and the standard in the same picture, it gives a good impression of an army-like setting(light units, heavy units, ect).
You made them look more general/generic/streamlined is what I'm trying to say. It looks good overall, but then the old ones were somewhat more styled up that made them look more interesting.

Love the new flamethrower sprites. Also, I'm really feeling the need for a shield here.

I just got an idea. How about a flying shrine or sanctuary?
