From this article, actually not a full brain in a jar, but a few pieces of rat neurons, but this proves the concept of cortex command to be viable, yey!

This makes me wonder what could be done with cybernetic arms and legs if someone where to lose one. It could make war related injuries a little less of a disability.

From what the article says, the brain-in-a-bottle thing may only work if the brain is grown in the bottle (or transplanted early on in development).
I guess that means I can't be a skelly/coalition/rocket/tank hybrid anytime soon...
