CC Machinima
So, I'm going to try to reboot this idea--since the last time I was working on this I, uh, got banned.
The idea is to make a movie--or a short film--using the CC engine.
I want to implement the Crobos and the MPAM mods into this, mainly cause they look and perform better than the default units, but this isn't set in stone.
What I need from the community, should anyone want to help, is a skilled mapper. Most likely, I'll need someone to make a scene from scratch, or at least build me an awesome base to a given specification.
I have a general premise in mind, but feel free to post suggestions.
I'll also need a co-writer, a lua scripter and some volunteers for (potential) voice work.

Re: CC Machanima
It would probably be a good idea to add insane CharHeight to all the actors involved to remove the health display over all the actors.

Re: CC Machinima
This is a good idea, I like it. It's about time for some machinima.
Heh, I had a funny thought. There's a dummy left wandering a base, he doesn't know there's a whole world out there: and one day, the bunker door opens...
Behold! A Pisney-Dixar movie: "DUMM-Y"
Hooray for parodies!

Re: CC Machinima
I do a pretty good Movie Guy, as well as some passable accents. Also, very deep voice. And I can roll my r's. (Does that help? XD)

Re: CC Machinima
I can do Lua scripting for you if you tell me exactly what you want. I can also do basic scene stuff, but not like huge spriting stuff.

We need to talk about this. First, I need to know what I want to do. Second, I need to know what Lua can do for CC. I'm sure you can help me with that. TECHNICAL ADVISOR How about this--everyone who wants to opt in to do some voice work, write yourself a little monologue, record your monologue, and post/PM it to me and we'll consider that an audition. Additionally, I still need someone to offer to help me write and tihnk this out--officially. I'll gladly take off-the-cuff suggestions, but I need someone to help me hammer out a premise.

Re: CC Machinima
What kind of monologue? I can do a pretty flawless German accent if you want someone with that talent....also; I'm guessing this is going to be comedic in it's main focus.... I can also help you "hammer out a premise" if you want, I'm no stranger to writing fiction, scripts or just coming up with ideas for videos.

Hopefully not another comedy about military life and leadership... I take it you probably want samples in lieu of a resume for this position too?

Re: CC Machinima
I like this idea, verily. It's going to be interesting to see what kind of machinima one can get out of CC. Probably an epic one. I'd love to help, but alas, the things you need help with are not something i can do. My english accent is horrible, i don't know Lua, i can't sprite very well and i've never tried mapping. I suppose i could help with the premise, but then again, i'm not too good with stories/whatever either. The best i can do is probably just to offer my limited coding "skills", in case you're going to need any coding done. Which is probably unlikely. Best of luck with this though!

I can provide British accent in spades, if you need it.
