Your favorite Tactic
In this thread, I want to know what everyone's favorite tactic is, with or without mods. My favorite tactics include the following: 1: Using the unitec mod, I like to make tf2 classes, such as scout (Baseball bat + dropship engine = explosions) and Heavy (Random chaingun) 2: Close combat. I like crushing enemies that have weapons when mine is gibbed/destroyed by an explosion. You can do this easily by jumping atop them, And gibbing their heads by sitting on them. You can jet towards them at high speeds, and sometimes that'll work if you duck while jetting at them. 3: Last but CERTAINLY not least, I enjoy the CRABBOMB. How to do this in a step-by-step format: Code: STEP 1: ORDER CRABS ON ROCKET (Any number will do, as long as it's not so much as to lag out your computer.) STEP 2: Launch rocket into enemy territory, then prepare to control it. STEP 3: Crash it hard enough into enemy territory to blow it up. STEP 3-A:If the weight of the crabs fails to do this, or you SUCK at piloting rockets, You can always scuttle. STEP 4: ???!?? STEP 5: Wait out the lag. STEP 6: PROFIT!

Headshots.
Or shooting explosives at a body, making the whole actor EXPLODE.

Re: Your favorite Tactic
Depends on my mood, but several of my favourites are: - Grabbing a LMG and start spraying at waves and waves of incoming enemies - Using only throwing knives to kill enemies (you'll be surprised how skilled you become) - Having my brain exposed with the only defense being an actor with a sniper rifle, which needs a lot of headshots to keep up with the incoming stream of actors - Using my moving brain actor in a game of 'survival', carrying a shotgun.

Using a single shot explosive launcher that lobs grenades to headshot enemies.
I honestly never get tired of that weapon.

Re: Your favorite Tactic
I'll usually just place the brain in a closed tomb made of test material, but only when I'm too lazy to make a nice base. Otherwise, I'll use one actor with a ranged rifle, a pistol, and some grenades, and see how long he can last, or try to fend off DSTech robots in Lunar Tomato.

Re: Your favorite Tactic
I usually just go solo with a very strong actor, and a brain in 360 Degree Protection.
But on mission maps, you just gotta remember that everything is destroyable and you can destroy anything through the destroyed. Ex: Dig through ceiling, nab the brain Et Cetera

Re: Your favorite Tactic
I like making a trap-filled base in Simple Mountain, then using relatively weak actors with vanilla/vanilla-balanced weapons to try and prevent my base's entrance from clogging with corpses. Unitec + Promguns + Trickster Security ftw. But that's not really a tactic. Tactic-wise, I like N.O.E. flying slow, as it is faster than walking yet keeps me close to cover. Also, even if I slam into something, it's likely to be an AHuman, not an ACDropship, so I can take down at least one more unit before blood loss kills me. Other good tactic is having a unit with a digger and a GML destroy things from across the map.

Re: Your favorite Tactic
First I build a giant base or use the only one I actually made. Position lots of stuff like defences and miners tactically. Then I play as the AI slowly eats all of my defences away and reaches the brain. I mostly use modded activities like zealotians or unitec or darklones.
Another game I play is having an unarmed Solid Snake on a complex base map and nothing else. I start the game and run for my life while trying to get a chance to pick up a gun the AI drops. And reach for a x number of kills until I suicide or get killed.
