Slave Drive not being recognized, Please Help
Ok so, before this computer i had one that crashed and wouldn't start up. Now i took the hdd out of that and set is a a slave in this computer. The jumpers are set properly and it works with the old slave but not this one. This new slave is a boot drive as in i used it to boot windows on an other computer. I see the drive in the BIOS and in the device manager as another hard drive and as a secondary IDE. It's enabled in both sections. The problem is, when i go into Windows Explorer, i only see the Master Drive. How do i get it to be recognized in Windows Explorer wihout formatting it? I want to salvage the files from it. I am using Windows XP Pro SP3.
If anyone can help me out i would appreciate it greatly.

Shouldn't this be in computer help? Yes, it should.EDIT: Oh wait, it is. Did I earn myself a FAIL? I must have clicked Computer Help instead of General Discussion and confused myself! Oh dammit! Now I've humiliated myself in front of the entire forum! Don't look at me, I'm a failure... ;_;

SP3 is the problem I bet. Thing's riddled with bugs. Also put it on cable select and go from there.

Ok so it's on cable select, i tried doing populate and it says it's unreadable and when i run Recover My Files every sector is error-ed so its pretty much dead, gunna bring it to a computer place to ask if it's at all salvageable. If you guys can help me salvage it myself i would rly appreciate it.
