2v50 wrote: ha ha ha i am no good at spelling Are you even ♥♥♥♥ human? Seriously, are you some form of degenerate ape mashing it's fist into a keyboard in the process of trying to find a banana? I'm seriously at the point where I'm thinking that people who I normally view as subhuman degenerates look like well-taught intellectuals. You seem to be under the impression that Data was looking to capture a wide audience with this game- he clearly isn't. If he wanted to make mass-market games, then he'd be working for a major game studio. Cortex Command can really only serve as a minor project for a specific niche, or as a way to prove that he has skills, acting as a resume. If you think that the opinion of a degenerate product of siblings marrying such as yourself can change that, then congratulations! I have an address for you to send all of your money to so I can reclaim my title as king of Nigeria.

I also wish to elucidate you on the matter of Cortex Command's future fate. Computation machinery is developing at an astonishing rate, and perhaps within a single year will not be able to run Cortex Command at all! Not only that, but I believe that all the Internet Service Providers will upgrade their networks at the same time to achieve speeds we cannot currently fathom! Look buddy, I was trying to be nice to you when you posted your mod. When you consistently come up with nonsense like this (I have a masters degree in translating Idiot), I can't take much more. I will systematically disprove your points in the above paragraph. In small text, for the rest of us. 1. pcs are devoping so fast that by 2009 or maybe 2010 pcs will not be able to play cc
Answer: PC's won't be able to play CC because they're too fast/incompatible? Right. You keep telling yourself that. My PC doesn't run DOS, does it? Yet I can happily play rather old games with what's called an emulator. Speed-wise, wouldn't that be better for CC, not worse? I dunno about you, but my PC runs CC rather slowly, so a speedier computer would be fine by me. Incompatibility/speed theories refuted.
2. and the net may be a lot faster
Answer: Netplay will be faster... How so? Will all the cable companies suddenly switch to FiOS in 2009 because they like the shiny cables? I don't know the financial data involved, but I would think that replacing every cable they have with FiOS wouldn't be cheap. Not very cost-effective either, with the majority of internet users checking their mail/facebook/myspace/whatever, then logging off. Potential cost/benefit would be very one sided. There's the other side too, that all netplay-compatible games would suddenly be a lot less network intensive. I'll tell you this. While all computations on a computer are deterministic, two different computers running the same software will run it at different speeds. This leads to desyncs, and so most respectible netplay games do a mass resync every so often to make sure everyone is on the same page. For CC, that's a lot of data. Netplay improvements refuted.
