And yes, the cave swallow man fell 8 stories. Not form a cliff, he actually fell down the INSIDE of a goblin tower.

Uh, towers down't have holes. If you found a highly developed dark temple, maybe. I've never actually seen a temple that was higher than two stories though.

   |   Re: Dwarf FortressDwarf mountainhome? Those thiungs are designed in the most rediculously hazardous way I've seen.
I imagine most of the "likes to run and play" genes for dwarf children have been eliminated by natural selection.

   |   Re: Dwarf FortressTell me about it, I walked around a dwarven fortress for almost an hour trying to find the mayor (then I gave up, after going down maybe 10 stories searching every single floor).

So, uh, is there a guide to Adventure Mode (that is where that took place, correct?) somewhere? Because I desperately want to play a game where a sock can make my torso explode.

Yup. Carp, Sturgeon, Sea Lamprey, and Brook Lamprey are four fish you need to stay away from unless you're legendary. Anyways, we're up to version.. 28.181.39e Yes, that is indeed an E. Toady has implemented a regionfinder so you can find a good location for a fortress much more easily.

   |   Re: Dwarf FortressFor some reason, my dwarves won't mine, even when I have two miners with sufficient skill who are unoccupied. They just wander around. After deconstructing the wagon, they've done nothing.
