Re: Has anyone managed to create a TOUGH Activities.INI?
Quote: It crashes because it hasn't loaded activities.ini yet. since i am a retard i do not know what that means how do i make it so it loads them It doesn't matter what map you play it on does it? Can it be that other mods are interfering? I don't have to comment out the activities line in index right? I'm supposed to end up with the base.rte or promsguns.rte indexes having no slashes right? A little help here?

Does it load the Promguns, THEN the activites.INI?
If it does and it still crashes, show me the error. It's easier to tell what's wrong with an error.

Re: Has anyone managed to create a TOUGH Activities.INI?
No, I start up CC with no problems, but when I select a difficulty and the game is supposed to start, it crashes. Of course I had to nuke my cc because it did that permanently. All I did was follow the wiki instructions to the word, so I guess I'm just not fated to do this or something.
And I often get that sorry for the inconvenience thing while loading up CC. But for some idiotic reason, I just open CC again and it loads fine.

Re: Has anyone managed to create a TOUGH Activities.INI?
on topic: the real problem you are having is not the activities, but your base set up. Try mining at the same time that you are fighting off the AI. That makes it a lot harder. Then add in a base that leaves the brain exposed on the underside and can be accessed without mining. That makes it a lot harder too. In fact, even coalition can be tough when playing this way.

I have pretty much the same as NeoSeeker, just it uses a modified default AK (Heavier bullet, higher velocity) and normal coalition troops. The frequency of their spawning is 500. The map was ACTUALLY almost filled to the brim with corpses after about an hour, with my DarkStorm defence turrets.

Re: Has anyone managed to create a TOUGH Activities.INI?
DS Tech killed my brain even though I covered it in layers of enforcer blocks. I tried using Data as my brain the next time and equipped him with a drone launcher. It worked for a while, then I got instagibbed by a judgment cannon blast. If you want an activities that uses only normal actors, I'd suggest using only dummies because they are resistant to bullets and gibbing.

Re: Has anyone managed to create a TOUGH Activities.INI?
So...since nobody is going to explain what I did wrong, does anyone actually have an INI that doesn't require mauling the index?
Like one where they jetpack from the sky?

AddAttackerSpawn = AHuman CopyOf = Soldier Heavy AddInventory = HDFirearm CopyOf = SMG
Lather rinse and repeat.

I dunno what to do with that or where to put it, and it'll probably just end up breaking my CC. But whatever, I just found out that toybox comes with an activities where they jet down from the sky with stronger weapons and armor.

In activities INI, the blocks of text nearest the bottom should look similar to that, but with the attackerspawn as a dropship, with coalition troops as the inventory items. Just replace all them with that.

Re: Has anyone managed to create a TOUGH Activities.INI?
My suggestion is going into the activities of your choice, and after each "AddInventory = AHuman", put "AimDistance = 800"

Heh, a few vertical shafts that lead straight down into "Hell" will stop any ground attack by the AI no matter how hard the activities ini is.
