Priority of updates?
Data has given us a pretty good idea of what the finished game is going to be like. However, I'd like to know what is being done when. For example, can we expect updates to the campaign mode anytime soon, or is that being saved for last? And when can we expect to win in Skirmish mode? When will more official factions be introduced? If anyone has legit information on this stuff, Please post. Otherwise, speculate away.

Re: Priority of updates?
No one has legitimate information.
Data specificied a release date on a single build, long long ago when the community was tiny.
There was a MASSIVE community uproar when it didn't happen.
We don't have any concrete information on what the next build contains besides what's mentioned in the Devlog.

Re: Priority of updates?
You can win in skirmish mode if you play with friends. Find some friends.

The enemy used to have a brain in the old builds, in more ways than one.

Re: Priority of updates?
You could win against the computer in this build.............all you do is in scene editor, make a red brain, then in the skirmish, make yourself green in the skirmish. Then, you can win, can't you?

Nope, game doesn't end even if the enemy brain is destroyed.

Re: Priority of updates?
Seriously.
I really think data should work on some defense AI and put in your bunker vs theirs gameplay as a second mode.

Re: Priority of updates?

Re: Priority of updates?
The tutorial scene is "governed" by hard C++. The logic of it is written into the game itself.
Data has mentioned on IRC that b21 should contain at least one new scene/mission, which will be governed by Lua. This will show mod makers how to build scenes in Lua.
It is not possible in the current build. Just because you try harder at something doesn't mean you can magically make a solution appear. Especially when the problem is impossible.

Especially when the problem is impossible. but i want a unicorn so baaaad All I can do is guess, and I'm guessing that Data will implement all of the features first then finish the campaign. I mean, a final mission where you just end up fighting against, wow, 20 dummies, is lame as all hell. One using the newly implemented ♥♥♥♥'SGONNAEATME* technology and requiring that you have 20 functioning mining bases or something might be more fun. *probably not a real technology

Re: Priority of updates?
Honestly? All I want for Christmas ARE NOT my two front teeth, I want Lua. Lua, I bet it's possible to create Internet using a good mod, and Hamachi.
