I notice a little bit of lag when I'm burning through terrain with the grenade, other than that, no performance issues.

It may not be the most earthshaking total conversion mod out there, but as a few interesting and visually-unique weapons, I'd say it's definitely worth the download.

i do it myself, which essentially would make me a horrible hypocrite if i hated it

Not much I hate more than overuse of glows, however, this seems mildly interesting.

I'm with you xtortion, but this mod is fun. Nothing like glow grenades to piss off my brother when I kill his brain which was protected by 3 layers of steel. teeheehee

Make fire glows.
Or shaped glows.

Mixing glows and sprites does not often work well.

Should I stay with just making weapons with glow or should I also make weapons of fire without glows as well (like pyro weapons)

Diversification is always good. Let's see what you can do without glows, or without JUST glows. Let's see what you can make in the way of a rifle or pistol or something. For that matter, if you can make a glow-flamethrower that burns the terrain away like your grenade does (but hopefully without the lag) I'll be one happy homicidal maniac of a disembodied brain.
