Also that was probably and old pope clone and not the real one.
Hence no guards.

Unfortunately I doubt it would react well to taming, but shoot the skeleton man first just in case the battlecat decides to defect to your team.

By shoot I mean with that blaster gun you have.

Ask him why he chooses to protect the pope. Sure he brought him back to life (sort of) but he took him back from eternal slumber/happiness. And call around for Krimpy while running away from Skelly and Skelekat. If there is no reply. Then the thing he saw moving near the rock must have been them. And they must have found out he was helping you, and 'got rid of' him. Poor Krimpy.
