your sprites are well shaded but need more texture in my opinion. Robot looks cool, but definetly needs more texture.

Too true. Believe me, i'd absolutely LOVE to make my sprites less bland, but i seem
to screw up badly whenever i try to make details :|

But apart from that, i just need to sprite a (BLAND) "jetpack" now, and then i'll
update... And yes, i have made a couple of guns for it. You'll see...

I know exactly what you mean. its always a decision between shading quality and texture quality. Pixel art has its problems.

Thanks for understanding. :)

But anyways, i updated, so now you can have the joy of another giant robot
in your arsenal :P (With equally giant weapons, of course :3)
It's too bad that i lost my gif-making software when my HD got wiped though,
but i'll figure out something...
But in this update i focussed mainly on the M.A.R.S., so all of the things Azukki
mentioned will be tweaked in the next one.

Hrmmmm... The M.A.R.S dies wierd, occasionally I get a never-ending fountain of sparks raining down from just a really beat up arm, but its pretty good. I had to use my anti-tank/boss weapons just to deal with it!

Dies weird, as in, explosion looking weird? Maybe i should beef up the explosion a bit,
so it is at least as dangerous as it looks...
As for the bleeding, well, i'm not entirely happy with it myself, and i have tried to make
it stop after a second or so, but it simply refused if i tried. I might give it another shot though.
Oh yeah, and guess why i made it cost 5000 oz xP

@Tea: Thanks, but no thanks, luckily i still have the installer on my secondary HD, which
didn't get wiped. Yesterday i simply didn't have the time to find it and install :P

Me likey. Nice updates! ^^ The M.A.R.S is so f'en resistant, I had it fight a MPAM armed with an energy blade and it took a big while to kill it. Its cost is annoying, but its worth it.

Class job on making a new sprite for the Pelian light, adding the assault bot and the M.A.R.S, and adding some new weapons, too. That flamethrower kicks ass! :D

I like how resistant the big robot is.
It's pretty hard to find something which can pierce it's armour.
Which is good.

I dicided to try the pack yesterday and I must say im totally impressed. The weapons, actors and that huge scary robot are EPIC. This faction has evolved really well since the first release and I enjoyed all the little aspects of it as I played it. Im not sure about how tough would it be to fight these guys since I havent tested that yet, but they are frikkin tough when I put them to the test as defenders.

From the weapons the plasma cannon became instantly my favorite, its so cool with the glows. The painter gun rocks absolutely, but has a downside with the payload always coming from left to right, making it not able to hit enemies under the cover of the right side wall of your bunker. It works and plays well though. Maybe its just me, but I think theres a bit too many machine guns in the lineup and mostly I tend to use the most efficient shouled-mounted chaingun. Besides that, the weapons are quite balanced and fair, which ofcourse is a huge plus to this faction.

The MARS is damn amazing, the weapons for it are rather simple, but they do their job efficiently. I really like his creepy appearance, especially the large scary hands.

As for the sprites, I must say this is the best pillow shading I've ever seen. Even without further details and such, the sprites look very personal and clean. Kudos for anthony too on helping you out with the art.


The next step for this faction is probably about going airborne. An offencive fighter/cruiser craft or something to deliver these boys from outer space.
(Also maybe a melee weapon of some sort might be cool)

Awesome work, I'll be looking forward for the next additions. :D

And yeah, i need to go airborne soon, these guys need a custom way of transporting...

Also, updated again, with numerous small tweaks, but no real additions.
Things worth mentioning are that all the things Azukki mentioned have been dealt
with, and i've made a few changes to the M.A.R.S., like a faster walkspeed and
much more violent gib explosion. Also, he only bleeds for half the usual time now.
Oh yeah, removed the Spitfire entirely, so you might want to delete the old folder
before installing the new one. So yeah.

Next up is umm... I dunno, whatever i feel like adding. Maybe more M.A.R.S. weapons,
maybe more standard weapons, maybe a craft to deliver these guys...

A HUUGE Plasma Cannon for the MARS! : D

A very slow huge plasma charge, but goes pretty far with a nice slight arc and when it hits, it makes a primary explosion and six small explosions around it using the gib offset code to make a spectacular multiphase-explosion effect. Covered in delicious yellow glow sauce and tipped with a gentle sucking and damaging emitter for 3-5 seconds.

Also make it shoulder mounted if possible, with a bazooka like design.

Also, after making an Activities.ini (YESIACTUALLYMADEONE) for these guys and playing against them,
i see that i REALLY need to tone down their armors structural integrity. While it is possible
to get rid of the weaker units, killing an Assault Robot or a M.A.R.S. is practically impossible
without excessive firepower :|
While some people might like this, it totally unbalances the gameplay away from YOU, so
unless you want to get ruthlessly killed, i'm going to tone down their armor...
It might be cool for you to be an unstoppable killing machine, but it really isn't very cool when you're
fighting against an army of them :/
I think their relatively harmless wounds are more than enough trouble when fighting them.
I mean, seriously, Crobotechs heavy machine gun can get entrywound on the Assault Robot
and M.A.R.S., but i could empty FOUR magazines into the neck of an Assault Robot without
it even fliching.

For the MARS, include a rocket pod. Not a launcher. A pod.

That's right I said a pod :O The kind that fires 9 rockets simultaneously. And is kick-ass.

And include some non-explosive weapons for the MARS, maybe a huge sentry gun or a really high caliber machine gun, like the MPAM's?

(Oh yesh; he is very resistant, even against his own weapons. Bombs are like bullets to him; I have yet to find a weapon that will instantly kill him. Even using the D37 Insert. Pod, which I commonly just use as a blunt warhead because the immense speed will kill close to all units, it just bounced off his armor and landed sideways; after going around the map.)
