Really? I'd just build it like google did with their interior space. Freaking awesome.

As for the scraps issue, maybe it can be fixed with Lua in the next build. Depends on what Lua influences.

What would Lua add that we can't now?
It can easily be fixed now by changing material strength or making them hits and hitsby MOs to 0.

Seriously, stop saying "Lua might do this".

Well, scripting should open a lot of possibilities, but I don't really see how it could be applied to this problem.

If we wanted to gib it, make it crush into terrain better, get crushed as terrain better, etc, we already can. The solutions are already availible, they just aren't in use.

Now the ridiculous flying doors... there's something we can't do anything about.
Yet.

I just figured some kind of trigger could be used to become some kind of background terrain if it hits an identifiable second piece of debris already in place. That way, instead of building up and up with unrealistic looking air bubbles in between the scrap it would fall in one place in front of/behind each other. Making an organized pile of destroyed dropship gibs both foreground and background.

I dunno if this can be done with hitsMOs or gethitbyMOs already, I don't code.
