As long as it's feet touch the floor (and it has feet) it can pick stuff up.
The feet can be pixels in size.

ACrab brain = fail, I was envisioning the whole pixel foot idea myself so that the brain could hold its own during a serious assault. It'd be better if the gun it came with was a phase rifle esque contraption that could pass through walls (a tad weaker though so it can't be exploited easily).

Really man, if you want to use your brain as a weapon, you're going to lose. This would be a last resort thing, so if a skeleton walks into your brain room, you can shoot him to pieces.

It should have tiny legs and be able to scuttle under the floor boards through a vent or something. So theres still the risk of getting shot but you might escape.
