Abortion in file .\system\reader.cpp, line 486, because:

Referring to an instance (any material) to copy from, that hasn't been defined! in (Some .ini file from the first mod loaded) at line (line where material occurs)

The last frame has been dumped to abortscreen.bmp

I get this error message whenever i try to install a mod. Anyone who knows how to fix it?

I am running build 18, until i can nag my mom into letting me borrow her card. It may have something to do with that i guess.

Which mods did you try? Mind giving a few examples of the materials that it wouldn't load?

something like 145_ plasma pack or something, reflective bot and a whole lot of others. like 20-30 different ones.

It's usually military stuff and the different metals. Dented metal and so on. But that's probably just because those are very common. I'm pretty sure it won't load any materials that aren't in Base.rte or promgrounds.rte.

You need to convert the mods back to Build 18. Read this and do the opposite of 14-20 conversion to that mod.

I have now converted all of the ones in that list to the old ones. Now it asks for fire puff large, which is not in that list. :???:

That was made in B20. It's nonexistant from B1-B19.
And B20 trial can run mods.

Ok. I guess I'll install the trial as well. Can they "co-exist" on the same computer?

And are there any mods that would work with build 18 on the forums?

Thanks for helping! :P

There used to be. They were deleted by a person who is banned now.
And yes, they can co-exist. (CC20, CC19, CC18 folders, and so on.)
