There are seperate sprites for head, body, legs, feet, hands, and the like. Seriously, this is much easier if you just go look around. Also you're going to get flamed hardcore shortly, so use that time to look at stuff.

Re: Actors
You mean like separate upper and lower leg sprites, rather than an animated extending leg sprite?
If so, no.

Re: Actors
OK, ill try to be as clear as i possibly can
Say a leg has four frames to it. Do people usually sprite the four frames frame-by-frame or is there some other way of doing it?

Re: Actors
Oh, I see. Yeah, you sprite frame by frame. But if it's something big or mechanical, you could make sprites of the different parts of the the leg, and then rotate them, and join them together, and repeat, for different leg positions with differently angled parts, but this requires programs that don't come with your computer.
rotsprite is a pretty good, free, sprite-rotating utility.

Re: Actors
CC doesnt use walking animations, what you're thinking of is limbpaths. They are defined with the actor code and give a leg several points (in XY coordinate form) to follow, in order, from the starting point (standing still usually). Now that you know where to look, do so. Play with it. Make a coalition soldier do a cartwheel.

Re: Actors
Jesus christ you're dumb ThoughtProcess.
Have you ever LOOKED at the ♥♥♥♥ CC folders?
ACTORS HAVE SPRITES. THEY DETERMINE VISIBLE APPEARANCE, WHILE LIMBPATHS GOVERN PHYSICAL BEHAVIOUR.
A combination of both is necessary for a good looking actor.
NOW STOP OFFERING ADVICE ON ♥♥♥♥ YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT.
