Could you be a little more helpful? What kind of environmental lesson? About why it rains? Or about global warming? What age kid? Friendly as in no bad words? Or no using big words?

The story of the little boy who dropped litter.

A kid drops some litter, once a day, every day. At the start he says, "it's only a little bit, who cares?"

Then, some time later he is in an area full of litter, to which he states "No-one lives here, who cares?"

Finally, we see that the litter piles have swamped the place where he lives, causing him to say "Oh no! My home is covered in stinking filth! Now I do care!" And my mother says i have to move in with my auntie and uncle in bell-air

Then end by stating that if you drop litter, one day it will swamp your house too.

How do you have blood or violence in an environmental story?

A KID FRIENDLY STORY:

A woman walked into a bar. She lit up a cigarette . (CIGARETTES ARE BAD, CHILDREN!) Nobody in the bar really cared, I mean, its only ONE cigarette right?

Little did they know, the CO2 and other chemicals in the air were all building up. Eventually, the O-zone collapsed, because of the factory where Dad works and the vehicle plant where Mommy works, that sells fossil fueled cars. The O-zone fell right out of the sky and we all died because we were crushed under it. THE END.

Bar: Where mommy and daddy are finally 'single' again.
Cigarette: its bad, and its a small white tube you light on fire.
CO2: Not the gas that comes from your butt, but dangerous gas that kills.
Chemicals: again, not the gas from your but, but sometimes it these can kill you, or can knock you out, or...
O-zone: the forcefield nature erected to protect itself from Mr.Sun
Vehicle: CAR
vehicle plant: not a green plant, a big building where they make cars.
fossil fuels: fossils that are dug up by scientists are shoved into the gas tanks of cars.

Once apon a time their was a boy who loved to play in the woods, but then he fell in with the wrong crowd and started smoking. One day he was in the woods where when he spat the cigarette out it satarted to light up the leaves. The boy ran and ran and finnaly made it out of the woods. But his favorite place had been burnt to a cinder, all because of his stupid "friends" and his stupid habit.

You could also have it that the boy was engulfed by the flames and that last forest being burnt down destroyed the O-zone layer.
