Post Dropship troops being dolts
When enemy Coalition troops are dropped by dropships, they just jump out and fly into the engines with their jetpacks. Is there a way to solve this without removing their jetpacks? I only now put in 2 guys per ship, before it was 4, but at least one guy kills himself.

Not really.

AI behaviour can't be effectively controlled yet. I'm pretty sure Data knows about the problem, so it will hopefully be fixed by B21.

They used to act normally in build 13. I'm just using rockets instead, though.

Well, back in Build 13 they liked to dance on the soil above your brain.

It's not as impressive as it sounds.

1) When it's finished
2) LUA won't be in it

Lua will be in it, in a limited capacity, for some simple scene scripting.

1. It's Lua, not LUA. Not an acronym.
2. Lua will be in B21, for scenes.
3. It's out when it's out. Data, 2 weeks or so ago, said it would be, and I quote: "a few weeks". Hopefully.
4. AI using dropships is fairly new, and AI using jetpacks is even newer. The code hasn't been worked out yet. Get over it; you're playing a far-from-complete version of the game.

This is really me being nitpicky, but back in the end of March he said, "hopefully April", if I'm not mistaken.

Just clearing up any confusion on Grif' statement.

Well, I know that the code is new, but it seems more like a step back. As I said, rockets function better than dropships right now.

This comment annoys me. People have been using this since Build 11 and before. But now, The game is commercial and is hopefully 50/60% done. You cant hide behind the game being a "far-from-complete version of the game." when a problem pops up. Sooner or later people have to wake up and realise that the game is soon enough going to be done, And its not going to be perfect when it is done. But its the pursuit of perfection that makes the wait worth while.

I guess that a solution would be to increase the interval between
bursts in the jetpack, kind of like the robot has it right now, so the AI
won't go totally crazy with the "Click like a maniac to fly like a maniac"
thingy. It'll most likely hamper your own flight though, but i think it'd
at least reduce the amount of engine huggers.

The only thing remotely close to being "done" at this point in time is the game engine itself.

Perhaps my innocuous statement was not clear enough, and that was why it warranted a rant.

I am saying that various aspects of the game, such as, in this case, the AI, are significantly flawed. They are not anywhere near being "complete", functional, challenging, etc.

Also your little rant doesn't make much sense. Hide behind? What? I'm saying the AI isn't perfect. I think anyone would agree with me on that. I'm also saying that the game isn't done yet. Again, anyone would agree with me on that. I'm not EXCUSING Data for not fixing it yet; I'm offering possible reasons for it not yet being fixed. Considering it's been a problem for...oh, three builds now, at most? It's not a big deal, really.
