Levelx wrote: I've done some testing in materials and.. changing the RGB values for any working material (modded or not) doesn't appear to effect it in any way. Code: Color = Color R = 999 G = 999 B = 999 However, changing the index to anything assigned or unassigned causes it to switch to the "Default" material. Add the fact that all scenes use a different format then the origional ones, and we got ourselves a real mystery here RGB Codes only go up to 255.

Re: Scenes Question Center
I have a problem with my scene. When the level loads up, 'neutral' brains are auto loaded in the brain chamber, and you have to place your teams brain over the top. The actors get confused and shoot their own brain. Like this: Sorry if this has been covered already, but my brain melted reading through the thread. EDIT: Nevermind, I've realised this problem is on 'Prom Grounds' too.

Re: Scenes Question Center
I don't know much about scene making, but I'm pretty sure I've never seen those colors in a material bitmap before.

Re: Scenes Question Center
Edit the purple color that is supposed to be the inside of the base to pink, and the normal blue sky also pink.

Re: Scenes Question Center
Why is there a bitmap mask over the 'sky' in default maps like Grasslands? Couldn't it just be air?

Re: Scenes Question Center
There isn't. It's just a problem created by the unusual way bitmaps that contain terrain data are encoded. If you like, you can open up the images in Paint, dye the blue, which I believe is what you're referring to, the standard pink of air, and then feel happy and satisfied. Won't change the map at all.

Re: Scenes Question Center
Well, I opened up the terrain bitmaps in Fireworks, and just wondered why the white part was masked over. Thanks, though, answered my question somewhat.

Re: Scenes Question Center
I was wondering if it is possible to change the amount of starting gold in two player vs. skirmish mode, and if so, how?

Re: Scenes Question Center
Cyborgman, go to base.rte/activities.ini, and find the second time it mentions "startingfunds = ..." change that number into something high (but no higher than 5 digits, or the game won't load)

Re: Scenes Question Center
i'm real lazy, so to make a new scene, i usually just change the .bmp from a map i don't like. it always give me scene filled with default materials. i know i am using the right colors, because i take them from the original map. is my method supposed to work, or am i doing something horribly wrong?
