Re: Lightsabre
The method that Numgun's plasma blade uses might work. The particles are shot backwards out of an invisible pint in front of the handle. They are stopped by the hilt. Or else I completely misinterpreted it's working.

Re: Lightsabre
Okay, after downloading and testing Numgun's sword, I decided mine shouldn't be too much like his, and that I'm gonna make it.
Okay, I made it.
Should I release it?

Light sabers are supposed to point upwards, right?

Re: Lightsabre (Mod posted)
Very nice, but could use some tweaking. One thing I noticed, is that for some unknown reason, behind the hilt, a single, steady, pixel glows and can still do damage. Not that big of a deal, but weird. And, you should try to get it to point, UP, might take some time, but Modding doesn't take 5 minutes. (I hope...) NEWS! Hey, I hope you don't mind, if you do, you don't have to use it but.... I'm trying to add glows to the beam, like, when you use it, a glow comes off of the beam, so, I'll get feedback after I try it in game!

I'm trying to add glows to the beam, like, when you use it, a glow comes off of the beam, so, I'll get feedback after I try it in game! It already glows. Also, it doesn't point up, because have you ever seen jedi's hold their lightsaber? They hold it at the base of the hilt, and point it forward. As for the single glowing pixel, for some reason the trail on the particles gets longer when you angle it, making it show up in the hilt. I can't fix it.

Oh and also, people. There's no way to assign the way a gun points. The POINT of held devices and HDFirearms is that you control where they're pointing.
Now, before someone says 'LOLAIMRANGE", that doesn't apply to this at all. That just defines where it's possible to aim. Plus it's an actor variable.

Re: Lightsabre (Mod posted)
I have something to tell ya...
No, you shouldn't release it. Why? Here is why:
- We already have a shitload of small ordinary mods. What you could do is make more colors, improve it to maximum, get a theme and add a lot of other things. Soon enough you'll have a pack... If possible, a good pack. Everyone gets happy and no one will have the reason to flame you.
But its your mod. This is what I think

Re: Lightsabre (Mod posted)
Don't mean to nitpick, but something about the handle shading throws me off. A simple gradient just doesn't make a very good 'round' effect. I don't know how to sprite very well myself, so all I can say is..uh...try something else?

Okay, I fixed it. I think I may actually work with this, making new colors, sizes, etc.
