I'm planning to get a linux partition. But I don't have much space. Can you recommend a small one?

You choose the size of the partition when you install any Linux distro. I'm actually not sure how this system does it; it's emulation, rather than true installation, so it might not even require a partition. I'm only used to boot disc setups.

I've had functional Linux distros on 2gigs. And that was Ubuntu.

Sixteen: I'd suggest Damn Small Linux. It really is the smallest OS you're ever going to find.

Puppy linux is smaller. Or something small and still shiny and useable is Wolvix Cub.

You sure that wasn't an older version? I installed Ubuntu in Windows (Wubi) the other day and it told me the minimum was 4GB. 1/2GB of that probably went to swap space, so if you have a lot of RAM, you might not have that problem, but you'd be cutting it close.

Since I don't install TWELVE DOZEN MASSIVE COMMERCIAL GAMES at once, and I keep most of my documents on an FTP in my closet, I had more than enough space.
